LION great Luke Power announced his retirement to his teammates before they ran on to the Gabba last night and it inspired the Lions to a heroic but ultimately failed attempt to upset the finals-bound West Coast Eagles.

Power, a veteran of 282 games, drew the curtain on a stellar career that included Brisbane's historic three-peat of premierships in 2001-2003 and eight top-five best and fairest placings.

Legend. That you Luke... :ymapplause:

On the AFL site:
Essendon: Mark Williams and Darcy Daniher
Sydney: Craig Bolton

There's more, I just hadn't seen these listed on this thread yet.

On a side note, a whisper that Luke Power may be getting one final payday... Baron Greenback? Thoughts?

I have heard he has made more in his small business this year, than most of us do in a decade.

I am quite happy for him to stay at Claremont and helps us win that 11th premiership flag we are searching for.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.
