Not that I have been wingeing but you will be happy if GWS signs Watson, Ryder or Heppell?

Yep I'm dirty. One of the rare top 10 picks we did get right and he's off like a fart in the wind.
Hope you enjoy the sh*t hole that is western Sydney Phil....

So, is he welcome around the club for the remainder of the year?

How do Adelaide now approach his rehabilitation over the next 6 weeks?

If his contract with Adelaide expires at the end of October ( I think thats when it is ), what obligations do they now have to him?

Wouldnt be happy with any of those going but at least we will get some compensation. We lost Wangas for nothing, not even a draft pick if i recall. Watson and Hurley wont go but i wouldnt be surprised if Ryder did. Big loss but one player doesnt make a team, look at Geelong they are probably playing as good as when they had Ablett.
BTW have spoken to a few people involved at club and apparantly Brett Stanton has requested a transfer to GWS

You wouldn't think any. They shipped Bock up to the GC as soon as he informed the club.
Good on him for saying so and getting it out of the way.

Totally left field thought that will have many up in arms but just throwing it out there for discussion.

Given the general mood is that Port will part company with Chad Cornes at the end of 2011, does the departure of Davis mean that it will take a little time to develop a ready made successor for CHB and therefore, do Adelaide look at picking up Cornes as a one to two year replacement?

Not saying I agree or disagree, but is it an option for Adelaide? At his age, he wouldn't command a big salary, means he doesn't leave Adelaide and if the body held up, may be worth a punt, and certainly, his experience would be welcomed at most clubs.

Plenty of good reasons not to, but throwing it around to ponder.

No.

Daniel Talia with another pre season under his belt will help fill the void as will Luke Thompson.

No. Talia has shown that he is going to be a very good CHB (IMO). Another summer in the gym and we have a replacement right there.

Why is that? Still plenty of ways he can get to GWS.

I wouldnt bag him Crow fans, you can get him back in 3 years time as a 24yo.

the joker wrote:massive blow for the crows, but with the money GWS offered crows will get two First round draft picks. apparently its 850,000 a year over 3 years. he will be in the top 10 of paid players in the AFL.
but Phil and Bocky show how honest the AFC players and Club are, First players to come out and say yeah i am going.

Am I the only one that thinks this is excessive for an 18 game player? He also has a dodgy shoulder doesnt he? I hate to see him leave but if I can see why. He is no where near the top 10 players in the AFL and he will now be in the top ten paid? I am sure he is the top 10 for the crows but at that money he needed to be number 1. So does this mean the only way they can get Walker now is through the pre-season draft yeah? I got to admit I would rather lose Davis than Walker.

PSD or a late pick in the National - virtually nothing

Fingers crossed it will be an exciting draft in the off season. GC don't lose a player to GWS do they? I can't remember that info.

Yeah it was a great comfort knowing that the Geelong Football Club voted in the Gold Coast's conditions of entry before they stole our best player. Like the fans give a shit what the clubs vote on. As always fans are much more loyal than the players. Crow fans have a right to be dirty.

I was offered a very highly paid job at a hospital in western Sydney some years ago and checked with a colleague in Sydney.

The clubs voted on it full well knowing they would lose players.

Crow fans can be angry with the AFL for the manner it was set up, dont be angry with a 20 year old lad who is taking the opportunity of a life time to secure his long term future.
