Walker, as if he planned it all to send a message to the Crows. The guy was just enjoying a beer on his day off ffs.

The way the media bang on about about T.Walker every week. Who'd blame the lad for leaving Adelaide for the relative anonymity of GWS. (Plus some decent coin)

FFS! Give it a break.

He's a talented player.
He got dropped because he's a lazy footballer.
He'll keep his spot when he works harder off the ball.

Thats all there is.
Yeah, Naah,..... Bollocks!

Although it's a shouse story, you're all barking up the wrong tree on this story.
Where did the comments come from? Two commentators.
The Sunday Mail were only reporting on something which was reported on Fox.
The Sunday Mail's headline, in its way, even defended Walker - "Can't a man have a beer?"
Barking up the wrong tree boys.

Some idiot asked Brad Scott how he felt about his old club 'breaking its drought'

But the Mail has added fuel to the fire by reporting on it. The best thing is to ignore outlandish comments by two hack commentators looking for a headline to justify their jobs

So they ignore a story in their backyard and which would be drawing comment on footy panel shows and in other newspapers throughout the next couple of days?
The Mail put a headline up defending Walker, using comments made by Fox commentators.
They defended Walker.

An injured Gowans kisses an injured Cicolella on ABC TV 2 weeks ago
Yesterday Cicolella was interviewed by Mark Soderstrom and was asked about the peck on the cheek
Justin replies
"" Hes a good mate and I enjoy having a beer with him.""

Now imagine if they were AFL players ...

Todays front page

TAYLOR WALKER IN THE CLEAR
Im thinkin , you beauty he didnt cop a suspension from the NW V PA game
I turn to page 39, and he is in the clear over his quiet beer
grrrrrrrrrr

Todays back page

STEAMROLLED
After leading by 23 points with 16 minutes to play,
Adelaide conceded 11 unanswered goals
to Collingwood yesterday to lose by 43 points.
ITS ENOUGH TO TURN YOU TO DRINK [with an arrow pointing to a picture of Taylor Walker having a beer ]

Liftout inside:Walker in the clear over THAT beer [THAT in capiTOOL lock]

On 3 different pages there are comments about THAT beer

I liked reading this from a feMALe journo, whom is a very good writer
I have edited her article

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Maybe we should just genetically engineer footballers form now on
Lets breed all the emotion out of them, make them running, jumping and kicking machines
There are 168 hours in a week and a footy match lasts just 120 minutes.Theres a whole lot of life to be lived outside football
Walker is doing it tough
When most of us have a bad time, we turn to family and friends
On Saturday he was relaxing with mates from Broken Hill, people who knew him b4 he was somebody
Maybe being around people who like him for exactly who he is was just what he needed
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

There is a lot more written on several pages about THAT beer in todays press
I want to fragment and post about all of it, but Im afraid I might still be posting when the first race at Globe Derby starts today ...

was looking for a place to put something i read in todays herald sun and this should fit in quite nicely.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/b ... 6060690150

The main quote of interest to me was about how good Port Melbourne are "The unbeaten VFL powerhouse, widely regarded as the best non-AFL club". sure hope he means best team with no AFL affiliation.
