I really don't like watching Judd play, I find him to be a dirty player who gets away with it but if you touch him he gets a free kick. Tribunal love him as he gets away with eye gauging (never liked him since that dirty act). Can't kick a set shot at goal either.

Chapman any day.

Where have all the Judd fanboys gone?

and this poll emphasises my point that the media swoon over Judd but how much do you hear about Chappy?

Media saturation = players becoming over rated

It purely depends on what media you read or watch, im sure if you read nothing but the Geelong Times (or whatever local paper they have) you will probably read alot more about Chapman than Judd.

One point of difference is we have seen how Judd performs in a struggling team, very very well still. Fortunatly for Chapman since he become established as an AFL regular Geelong have been an extremly good side, would he be the same player if Geelong slid and become an average side?

A point I've been trying to make for a while, but keeps getting "overlooked" by the anti-Judd brigade. Apparently he is comparable at both West Coast at their peak and the position Carlton were in when he arrived and since.

What crap. Chappy had to earn his stripes along with the rest of a very young group from 2000-2003 when we couldn't win a chook raffle. Geelong in 2003 were worse than any Carlton team that Judd has played for and he won a flag at the Eagles before that. Chapman was a regular long before we got our act together.

I think you just illustrated Whufc's point beautifully REB! When Geelong were cr@p, Chapman was Cr@p. I recall Dennis Commetti calling once that Chapmans most Important job for a Saturday was to make sure Gary Abblett got to the game on time & carry his bags in from the Car.

You missed my point.

Would Chapman dominate games now (that he is an established super star of the comp) if he was playing for Richmond.

Did Chapman dominate games when Geelong were rubbish, i cant remember?

Imho both are absolute guns and if either of them ever want to play for Central ill personally put in money to pay for their wages.

Chapman would stand out even more if he played for Richmond. Great contested mark and wins his own footy.

Chapman right now, 5 years ago Judd by a mile.

Who would I pick now to win me a game today? Chapman.

Who would I pick now to lead my team for a season? Judd.

Tough to decide, but I'd take Chapman.
