Gingernuts wrote:My earliest memory of watching a Crows game would be the 1993 prelims - specifically:

a) Justin Madden loaping down the wing with only Rehn to give chase.

b) Jarman missing a shot from the goalsquare before half time against the Dons that would've just about iced the game.

My fondest memory is would have to be the 1997 prelim against the Dogs. Was my 17th birthday and what a present it was! :D

Nope - that was Nathan Bassett. Knocked him out cold and was out for the first few weeks of the year IRRC.

Was at that game and it was totally unnecessary really. He got a couple of weeks for it didn't he?

OK Booney! ;)
All stirring aside, I'm hoping the Power improve under Primus' coaching and will still support them against all but the Crows as I did when I lived in Victoria.
[That support is independent of my negative opinions about how the SANFL gave out the second licence and the financial issues.]

Begley was one hit, nothing but dirty. Bassett hit was another.
The tackle on Kane cornes was the funniest though. All those years of defending Pickett and than they jumped to him being dirty ever so quickly. The biglands hit was definitely fair though

It was when they first introduced the MRP and early guilty pleas (based on the NRL model) - this was the first case to fall under this review and it got sent straight to the tribunal

Then we had our come back in '97 and i am pretty sure that if i am in need of a good chuckle, watching dean wallis trying to dodge justin murphy in 1999 when the bombers choked does the trick. It all evens itself out in the end.

Yep we were pathetic, but at the end of the day you finished one spot higher that year so i guess that makes us both losers.
A flag is all that matters so we were both failures that year
