I think the power should never wear any other jumpers but these 2 ever again, they are the best ones they have ever had and the acutally look like a football club and not like a franchise
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Don't mind the guernsey at all actually. About time football clubs went back to simple guernseys instead of netball uniforms...

Good option to use these guernseys as the other ones were crap. Won't help them to win games, bottom 4 I predict

Too many people (in upper management) got carried away with being in the AFL.

And forgot about what makes a football club successful.

 This from a Centrals fan... Please remind me, which club did Centrals use to "model" their successful culture on ?????
How ironic!

They modeled themselves on a club that's about to die. Hopefully for them they took that lesson on board.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

So Barto, you being an expert on what makes a successful club, what is the secret of Fremantle's spectacularly successful history in the AFL ?????? :|

It's always back to Freo isn't it? I'm talking about Port Magpies, which is who Centrals supposedly modelled their current successful reign on but if you want to change the subject feel free.

I wasn't personally involved in Freo's many blunders, but I'm happy to field your questions seeing you believe that someone who has been to a few games has a say.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Great. I'm happy to talk about Port Adelaide Football Club.
Without any doubt, the most successful club with roots in the SANFL.
So successful, they won a licence in the best comp in the land. Not only that but have a very respectable record there as well. The SANFL insisted they field a team (Magpies) in the SANFL as a condition of granting the AFL licence. They also raped and pillaged the new entity by forcing them to Ethelton in the early days and without reasonable financial support or incentives, the club now faces a financial crisis that may result in them shutting their doors. Were able to win SANFL flags in 1998 and 1999 even after the Power began in the AFL. Their supporter base was decimated by the Powers' introduction so naturally over time it was inevitable that the Magpies would struggle to survive. Any questions, Barto ?

Sorry Ruben - Port were "gifted" the second licence as some form of compensation deal by a weak and sympathetic SANFL.
They should have been thrown out of the SANFL completely, when their treachery was blocked, and the first AFL licence was justly given to a composite SANFL team.
I'm not entirely convinced the Crows should have been formed either.
It may have been better to put the money into beefing up the SANFL Player Rentention scheme and hopefully force the VFL to take part in an independent national competition they didn't run.
But now we'll never know...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Psyber, I don't agree.
In fact I think the SANFL's small mindedness and their pathetic player retention scheme was a complete joke.
And your inference about Port's "treachery" is quite laughable - Norwood tried to do exactly the same thing at the time ! That really would have been funny.

Port's apologists keep claiming this, but it has been debunked several times in favour of the version that Norwood referred the earlier approach to them to the SANFL.

I agree this is the best jumper Port have produced.

I reckon Port would look even better in either strip with black, white and teal hooped socks (black on top).

NAFC should also look at their socks. They looked a hellavu lot better during the 70's before they changed to that poxy vertical stripe jumper thing they wore. The socks prior to the ones with the 2 thin white stripes were red with a white rollover top and with the big V and even with white shorts - looked great.

The Roosters should go all funky and go with the 'barbershop pole' jumper. Just imagine the effect back in the day when Darren Jarman did his blind turns. After every win they could team up in quarterts to sing the club song.
