The Good
The powerhouse turnaround from a poor start.
Hentschel's positive return to the side.
Rory Sloane's promising debut.

The Bad
Richard Douglas: still not up to scratch
Brad Symes' kicking skills

The Ugly
The 1st qtr.
The over umpiring of the 1st half.

Great win, very happy with that

But lets be honest about one thing ... how bad were Hawthorn after quarter time? Clanger city.

For the "bad-ness" that was caused by our pressure, full credit to the boys

And well done Trent Hentschell!

Good win in the end. I didn't realise just how bad Hawthorn are, my goodness. Honestly, that's nearly a bottom 4 side right there.

That was a sh!t game. Adelaide were bad, Hawthorn were worse. Umpriring was woeful, totally over umpired with some some 50 metre penalties. Adelaides confidence look shot in the first half and whilst they didn't play that well after half time they should gain some confidence from the win.

Great to see Hentschel make a successful return he is one who truly deserves a little luck.

what a ridiculous comment -I'm supposed to look at the game in a one-dimensional way?
Was it good to win? Of course
Was it a faultless performance? Hell no and that's where the other comments come in

He's hard at it this kid, has impressed me no end this year, I think the Crows are on to a couple of long term winners with him and Davis at Prospect.
Must admit I only caught a bit of the 2nd quarter and didn't see him, how was his disposal as that's what's let him down for North at times.
Good thing is you can work on that but the way he puts himself on the line week in week out you can't work on or train, he's got that naturally.

Great win for the Crows, Im was 2 in front at work with a $500 first prize on the line and the 2nd guy picked the Hawks! :D
Thought I was stuffed at quarter time when I first turned on the radio!

He didn't get a kick but his hands looked good and clean. He showed good intensity around the stoppages though and tackled well.

His hands were fantastic. He had fast clean hands, often gathering under pressure before firing off a lightning handball. No kicks but that is probably a good thing as that is a bit ordinary, superb tackler though.

In light of Sloane's debut and the performances of the other first and second year players, has the Crows list ever looked better? I can't help but be excited about the next couple of years.

Anyone else think Rioli gets looked after by the umps ? Dont get me wrong, im a huge wrap for him, but he seemed to be allowed more time than anyone else to dispose of the footy, and as soon as he tackles blokes, the umps take it for granted he will wrap them up and call holding the ball. Most of his tackles were holding the ball, but i saw plenty of other better tackles, and more blatent holding-the-balls, go unpaid.

I was very impressed with Maric last night, and to a lesser extent Sellar. I know the Hawks ruckman are fairly ordinary, but their work-rate was excellent.

Agree with everyone else, Sloane looks a ripper. Symes tried his guts out, but disposal was shocking. Douglas was very selfish at times, will obviously struggle to keep his spot. Mick Doughty was superb, has proved alot of critics (myself included  ) very wrong.

'cause he does ... has to be one of the best tacklers in the league, amazing for such a small frame.

Yet when he is tackled the umps give him plenty of time to get rid of the ball, even when he doesn't dispose of us they still refuse to pay holding the ball against him.
