I like the lack of changes to the Crows team. Craigy throwing down the gauntlet to the young fellas to get the job done in a big game.

Dare I say Chocco is showing signs of desperation with the way he's using the media to try and gee up some of his players.

No need to dare say it as that is exactly what he is doing. I am beginning to see more and more signs that the playing group may be ready for a change at the helm. I also think after 11 years and pretty much two clean outs that Williams may be ready to mould a new playing group at a new club. Dont get me wrong, I love what he has been able to achieve with the PAFC and we will forever be thankful to him for helping deliver our first AFL premiership.

I think Nathan Buckley or Damien Hardwick's ( or both ) managers should be hearing from the CEO at ALberton very shortly. Williams does have in his contract that by June they must be telling him either way if he is going to be offered another contract. I just hope our win loss record at that time ( which may be well on the positive side of the ledger ) does not sway the clubs decision.

I think I feel the winds of change blowing. Or is it last nights Taco's?

The SANFL on Thursday Afternoon released some members guest passes for sale, obviously in anticipation for some empty seats in the Members. I'll be there ofcourse and I managed to get my dad a ticket, so that's one more.

I read in this morning's paper it appears Matty Westhoff will be required as an emergency for Port Power, covering Robbie Gray's suspect back. So both Switala and Duncan may come in for the Dogs meaning Ashley Duncan may make his league debut today. If Westhoff goes out, being a key forward, they may bring in a Heath Lawry or David Allocca as well though.

I don't quite understand however, why Matty Westhoff is the emergency to replace Robbie Gray. Certainly not a like for like player and the dewey conditions of AAMI tonight are not conducive for a big fella (even though Matty is talented enough at ground level also) and doesn't seem the logical replacement.

For me, Jason Davenport has been tearing it up for West Adelaide on the ball and has also been kicking goals which is what Robbie Gray does. Westies have a bye this week so surely common sense says have Davenport as the emergency thus ensuring Matty Westhoff plays a game this weekend. How is it any good for Westy to not play any game at all if Gray comes up and Westy has to to sit out for us today.

As much as I would want to see big sam look stupid, the guy will be able to flip it somehow with the big winners really only being the footy show.

Back to the game now. Should be interesting, Im tipping the Cows to get over the line by 4 goals. In my opinion they are playing a better and more consistant brand of football at the moment.

Agree with you there. I feel his losing the players now. Probably will be his last year at the Power. He has done a good job in his time there, I guess its just time to move on for him.

So...about six and a half hours away now and I still feel like Port has a slight advantage, even if Robbie Gray misses. More experience, an older group, the extra two days' break, all the indicators are there.

Carn the Crows, surprise us!

Surely, Crows would be favourites, coming off a tight win, great recent record in the Showdowns...... it's going to be tight and could go either way, but you would think the Crows would be favourites.

TAB Sportsbet: Port $1.85, marginal favourites over Adelaide $1.90 :P

It's been one of those hard to fathom starts to the season for both sides...dunno. We were told time and time again at the start of the year that this Port Adelaide side was top 4 but we haven't really seen evidence of that. The Crows have been a tad more consistent but are generally considered midtable this season. But yeah, aside from the points I outlined in my other post, it also doesn't fill me with confidence that we're fielding five teenagers. Don't get me wrong, they're talented and I'm really happy that we're giving these kids gametime, but it means games like these become a little tougher than before. I just feel like it'll be similar to last time; tight game, we'll give it everything but won't quite be able to take the premiership points. Hope I'm wrong. :)

Well said FD88, Adelaide remind me of Sydney, they always manage to make the finals and put in good performances year in, year out.

Port are a bit more up and down, you don't know what your gonna get each week (you will get sideways kicking though ;) )

Hate to say it but Port pretty easily, Crows very limited scoring avenues, have a couple that can 2 or 3, Port have some that can kick 5 or 6
