When will people realise captains are not always the best players. I think he is in Collingwoods best 22 and is a terrific leader.

Very good speaker (If anyone has seen some of his interviews) and was always regarded as the next captain of Collingwood.

maybe chad fletcher is a good speaker and thats why he is in the side

If you read my post again you will see i say i think maxwell is in Collingwoods best 22. Leadership is not just about on field attributes.

I agree Chad Fletcher is on the way out. But who would you replace him with ATM?

Talented but is still a few weeks away. He is struggling to run out games in the WAFL because of the time he spent out of the game. Will definately play this year though IMO.

Murphy and Gibbs of Carlton. Fab four my arse. Inside Football even said that Gibbs can be compared favorably with Joel Selwood. Give me a break, Selwood put his head over the ball from day one.

Could disagree any more with that.

Ive personally have never seen him play a good game.....

Considering hes 21, played 30 odd games and most of those were last year when the Port defence was under seige most weeks.I thought he was one of the bright lights in an otherwise dull year. i'm not sure how you can say hes over rated. Wins plenty of one on ones against some of the biggest and best footballers. 10 year player.

that was Bartel. Selwood copped an elbow in a marking contest. Good player in a very good side.

Agree with all except Cornes, Milne

Cornes arguably Ports best tagger and gets 30+ most games :?

Milne 40-50 goal forward per year :?

Very very harsh on Bryce gibbs, he is a gun and in three years time will be in the top 5 in the AFL, put him in the Geelong side and people talk about him like they do selwood. thats not a crack at J Selwood, he is a gun as well, but would he be as good playing in the Blues side a year and a half ago.

Yeah I liked Leigh Brown when he was playing Ok for the roos, then he did nothing for 2 years and i was glad he got traded to Collingwood...and then seeing him miss those easy goals the other night...good decision by Laidley I think.

Adam McPhee is my number one over rated player.
His skills are atrocious.
Burns the ball with every second kick and those dropped marks in recent weeks have been absolutely terrible.
A very, very over rated played.
One of Freo's rare good decisions to get rid of him.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.
