Hopefully Thurstans never plays for the Power again, he was embarrassing to watch and just wasn't good enough to play AFL level.

One of the best wins for a while.

Chaplin and Carlisle were outstanding in defence, the only goals Franklin got nobody would have stopped, Carlisle doing really well in one on one contests.

Tredders back to his 2003-2004 type of form, Logan brilliant on Hodge, Kane just the same on Mitchell and what a debut by Hamish Hartlett. This kid has got poise and insiders say he has the kicking skills of an elite ball user.

Lade and Brogan ( the much under rated Brogan ) dominant in the middle. Bar the Eagles debacle we should, should be 4-0.

Should be a cracker against the Saints this Friday night.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

Well said Booney .. Hawks were down on last years form no question, but Port needed a performance like that I reckon as that's the type of footy we should see regularly from them.

Hopefully they use it as a springboard for the season.

I wasn't going to go next Friday night, but this game should be a beauty .. Port have owned the Saints at AAMI in recent times, but the Sainters look a different outfit at the moment so looking forward to it.

I've always thought Brogan was a good ruckman. He just needs to learn to control his anger.

Does that assessment get tempered by off-field indiscretions? Personally I love to see the bog blokes on the field being angry, imho they're supposed to be :D

Harder than any indiginous player in their line up.

Perhaps what he said in the changerooms after the WCE game cost him the trust of the leadership group.

At selection the leadership group does have some say in who does and doesnt get picked, my mail says they asked for him to have another week to think about it.

Booney what did Rodan say after the WC game?

I think he goes too far on field too, and may give away critical free kicks...
