It is only Round 1 mate.![]()
But I agree it's a nice position to be in, the kids did very well on the weekend so at least they are giving the selectors something to think about.

Yeah, plus we haven't been put on the back foot quite so much by a long list of unavailable first choice players.
Our last couple of round 1 starts have been disappointing - the 07 loss at home to essendon and then the 2008 heartbreaker in Johnson's 300th. It made a nice change for the club to make some bold selections and then to have them pay off. Hopefully the side can carry the confidence it gained into the game on Friday night and make a good account of itself again.
Who is going to the game btw?

C: van Berlo, Thompson, Dangerfield

F: Porplyzia, Tippett, Knights

I/c: Walker, Mackay, Vince, Petrenko
Emerg: Griffin, Cook, Shirley
In: Johncock, Thompson
Out: Stevens (hamstring), Cook
Stevens had hammy soreness so they took the safe option while Cook was the unlucky one to face omission. Not a bad team, there's enough toughness there to hold our own without sacrificing much pace. Stevo is an immensely improved player and as such it's a big loss to cover but still, we're fielding a strong team.
