In a forward half consisting of him and one other bloke....

1.9 per game, not much less then a key forward averaging 2.2....

Exactly. 2 goals a game over a long career for a small forward in an average team is exceptional.
Not sure that stat had the desired effect.

Are you trying to say that is not good???? Kidding me.

I'd still say that is an excellent return for a small forward who has had limited supply for the mojority of his career, in a team that has struggled to kick goals.

Small or not Robbo has played as a key forward, ie, the key go to man (secondary when Neitz played) for most of his career and I don't think less than 2 goals per game is a great return.

He's been a useful footballer and his highlight reels have been great, but Im with Booney on this one (just my $0.02 worth)

An SA comparison:

Brett Ebert - 173 goals in 116 games @ 1.5 per game.

Even Jason Porplyzia, arguably one of the best small forwards in the comp:

99 goals in 64 games @ 1.54 per game.

Both have played/are playing in reasonable outfits and fall very short of Robertson's figures.

Still think he'd be a handy in a forward pocket.

In fact looking through the stats, even Darren Jarman could only average 1.7 goals in his 230 game career.

I reckon you could compare Robbo to a Scott Welsh, smallish forward, who generally plays the role as secondary forward and sometimes the key forward.

Similar figures too, 1.8 goals a game over the career
