Good signs today by the Power, they should improve with every game played this year.

Pearce looks in great touch this year and Grey also looks very handy.

not bad win but was only Essendon at home. The dons dont have alot of experience and will struggle to make it to the finals. like melbourne

Shut down Essendon pretty easily.

Alipate played very well again. He is going to be a gem.

Carlile was very impressive again, Pettigrew was good too. Chaplin needs to be a bit more decisive with his disposal, hopefully that will come with a bit more experience and confidence.

Wasn't an overall great performance, there will need to be significant improvement to compete with Geelong, Hawthorn, and W Bulldogs, but at least its a start.

HOF

Interesting to see your own supporters don't support your comments and are far more realistic in their response. Good but not a great win. However 4 points in the bank and that's what matters.

I support you HOF. Good signs defintely - WINNING is always a good sign and yes, i think they will improve as the year goes on. They took quite a few poor options today resulting in turnovers and if they eradicate most of those they should win plenty of games.

False. A section of the outer is fenced off for the gold members i think it is (which looks stupid), but all of the ground is open. Some gates are closed, and hell, with the SANFL raping us to the tune of 500k every home game, you think they'd get off their asses and do something themselves.

WTF you have no idea. I never said it was a great win, i simply stated it was a good sign, and it was.

I understand we played a piece of sh1t Essendon, but we did alright.

Thought quite a few of the Power hands were clumsy, particularly in congestion, but thats to be expected in Round 1, especially when it was that warm ... A lot of blokes from both teams were blowing hard as early as the first quarter.

I can see Port improving quite a lot from here ... Thought both Cornes boys, the skip and Junior were all well down on their usual ability and will all improve.

As mentioned above great game from Carlisle, he really is a beauty and it was good to see Pettigrew playing up to his potential.

Westhoff is an exciting player to watch and I reckon he's in for a good year, as to will Ebert if the body holds up so I reckon the Power are in great shape.

The outer fenced off area are called "Premium Terrace" as you apparently have the best view of the game being side on, you also have the best view of the sun for afternoon games.

Obviously not alot going on upstairs with him..... he's a much better player when he doesn't concentrate so much on being a loony and giving away free kicks...

And people watching on tv can have the best view of chunks of empty seats while behind the goals at the northern end is packed!!
