I was a crows season ticket holder from the start untill 2007 then i gave up on supporting AFL football, the umpiring is crap (for all teams) the rules that they are changing are not for the better of the game and the tactics that such coaches as Neil Craig are adopting. It is boring to watch, if it was not for footy tipping i probably would not watch any of it. One of the worst things that has happened is the International Rules, the diving on the ball rule has come from that. As far as i am concerned if a guy dives on the ball and stays on the ground only one oppostion player should be allowed to tackle him, if second player joines the tackle whilst on the ground it will be a ball up. With only one tackler, the player making the ball his first priority will have a realistic oportunity to get the ball out and would discourage big groups on the gound(if two players from the one team dive on the ball the current rule would take effect, they would have to get it out). Some people say they don't blame the umpires, i say they are just as bad as they are not consistant, they pay soft one minute and nothing the next. This is why i love watching real football the SANFL.
