One good trial last week against a useless undermanned Sydney & the Power players were already talking themselves up for the flag in 09 quote; we have a better squad & depth than in 04, (Salopec?) i believe had voiced in an interview.
No Tredrea & the 2 Burgoyne bro's yet had no depth to cover them & beat an undermanned Geelong outfit. If only Geelong was at full strength who knows what sort of hiding they would of dished out.

i went down yesterday only because the cats only come here once this year in the season proper

the standard of football dished out by both teams was absolute and utter crap, the skill level was non-existant

the last 1/4 was ok.

Harry Taylor has got to GO, absolutely useless yesterday

the umpiring well that was bordering on embarrassing

$19.55 for an adult ticket

or

$38 for a family ticket - 2 adults and 2 kids

deduct 2 people from the official attendance as we purchased a family ticket but only 2 went through the gate!

Shocking post. You expect perfection in blustery conditions, in February with seven regular players out of the side?? And if Taylor goes, who comes in and takes the Gorillas? Ego is gone, Harley is hurt and we need Scarlos run. [-( This time last year we were playing brutal football but I'd rather we play that way when it counts this year.

I understand what you are saying but i expected a little better

I thought the kids that came in played ok and did some good things

yes it was blustery but some of the disposal would have been shocking without the wind around

the way Taylor went yesterday, the Gorillas will eat him up. he really needs to improve, he is probably complacent with his spot in the team

Taylor will go well this year Tige, just wait and see. Did you happen to notice he's bulked up a bit? Couldn't care less how he goes right now, it's how he goes in a few weeks that matters and our 'depth chart' for Key defenders isn't exactly a lenghty list.

yes he's bulked up, he needs to

i hope he improves this year and i hope he steps up to become a better key defender that holds his own, but i think i have more chance of winning lotto.

the other highly amusing sight was the Port Fan who abused umpire 15 and really was shattered when in the last 1/4 Port received a free kick about the 50m and a player took possession and advantage was paid, the advantage ended up being out on the full

What can we take from this game.

Geelong will be one of the teams to get past to win the flag, along with Hawthorn.

Port will be one of the teams to get past to make the 8, along with 10 other teams.

Nothing more, nothing less.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.
