Gill in a back pocket??
I'd swap him and Stevens around -don't know much about Petrenko, but I'd assume Craig would go for Johncock as the other back pocket.

Other changes: I'd also start Reilly on the wing and MacKay on the bench; also swap Goodwin and Dangerfield.

i dont understand why so many people have Dogga starting on the bench or not in the 22 at all? he was one of the biggest ball winners last year and has a very high skill standard also!

Well either way you look at it, the crow boys will need something up forward to kick at. Tippett, Hentschell, Walker and Gill? Not sure what the setup has been in the past few tries, I understand Tippett, Hentschell and Walker was the last go. Tippett will probably get the best defender the Hentschell will get the next and walker will get the third which could work out well. Anyway round one will be interesting and I look forward to what the crows go with.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

For the Adelaide Crows to feel success in the seeable future they need to make some risky call this year, thats something Neil Craig isnt willing to do. I do rate him as a coach and could one day be a premiership couch but the state that the crows are in at the moment i just dont see him as the right man. Some big delistings need to be made this year and some risky movements of positions. Taylor Walker should have played last year as a premiership wasnt looking on the cards. If he played last year i would predict a much better session out of him this year. If big moves arn't made round one i dont see them going anywhere in the next five years. If there is experimenting I see top 4 in the next three years.

Did you read what I said or were just looking at Aerie's lineup?

As an outsider and an unbiased footy follower, here is my best team for the crows in 2009 barring no injuries...

B: Johncock, Rutten, Stevens
HB: McLeod, Bock, Symes
C: Doughty, Thompson, Van Berlo
HF: Goodwin, Hentschel, Porplyzia
F: Burton, Tippett, Edwards
Foll: Moran, Knights, Reilly
I/C: Douglas, Griffin, Mackay, Vince

Looks like Burton, Porplyzia, Rutten, Symes and Van Berlo are under injury clouds. If this is the case then these following players should replace them in the 22...Burton = Maric, Porplyzia = Walker, Rutten = Sellar, Symes = Dangerfield and Van Berlo = Shirley. If any of the 5 under injury clouds gets fit enough for round 1 then just take out their direct replacement. Seems like chalk and cheese for me.
