26 goals against the top 8 sides in 12 games.

31 goals against bottom 8 sides in 10 games.

that confirms it, 2.1 ave goals against top 8 teams 3.1 ave against bottom teams....big difference

Dutchy don't you think that EVERYONE'S stats are better against the bottom 8 sides???? That's why they are bottom 8 sides

I bet if every player's stats were broken down like that, most would show a bias same as Motlops (mind you, averaging 2.1 goals per game is still a great effort)

Do best & fairests / Brownlow medal votes get excluded unless they are v a top 8 side? Of course not ..

I was about the say the same to REB - how many of Geelong's 10 nominees have clocked up huge stats against the bottom 8 sides?
In between signatures .....

I agree Hondo, shows consistency IMO. If it was 1.7 against the top 8 and 3.5 inst the bottom 8 that would add weight to their argument.

Pavlich missed games this year and to be honest struggled to lead a team that should have made the 8 min

No Geelong player should be taken seriously as theyve only racked up stats against the bottom 15 clubs.

Versitility may be the only advantage Petrie has over Harley or Pavlich.

OK, Petrie can play either forward or back, but does this mean he pushes one of Harley or Pavlich out of a position they predominitely play in? Petrie's versitility will most likely prevent him from gaining an All-Australian berth.

Harley doesn't need to be more versatile than Petrie in the role that he plays for Geelong, which he plays extremely well. Harley is a better defender than Petrie.

Pavlich kicked 67 goals in 19 games, Petrie kicked 16 in 22 games. Pavlich is a better forward than Petrie.

LOL. Have to agree. I couldn't give a rats about AA but I still reckon Motlop is a front running spud of the highest order.

The Dish can also be quite effective in the ruck also.

Well if it means the Crows can have Pavlich when Freo disband someone else can help themselves to Petrie.
Now if "Buddy" would like a change of club he may rate over Pavlich...

FB Harley Scarlett Mackie

HB Fisher Bock Enright

C Richardson Bartel Corey

HF Harvey Riewoldt Pavlich

FF Fevola Franklin S Johnson

Foll Cox Ablett Selwood

Int Sandilands Morris Medhurst Cooney

Not a Geelong fan but they will fugure alot again

My tough one would be the second half back as you could throw a blanket over Enright, Hodge, Mackie, or Milburn.

Just think that Mackie and Enrights run and carry and the amount of footy they win between them will put them in. Hodge the least games of all selected (17) may squeeze onto the bench.

J Selwood could and i'd bet will finish higher in the Brownlow then either Bartel or Ablett has had an amazing year no second year hangover for him as i last minute swapped him and Cooney. Cooney been quiet over the last 5 or so weeks still deserves a spot.

And everyone Loves Dale Morris never hear much about him but the Doggies have had a good year and he will be rewarded for it

Theres my two cents.

Bock is a certainty for CHB.

I think O'Keefe will make it too, he had a very good 1st half of the year.
