Yes Trunky this is the week for the money trades. I got rid of Aker and Pearce who both at around 400k would cost me plenty if I kept them, especially Pearce. I loaded up with young guns Tuck and Gamble and now have a healthy bank balance.

Pulling around 2000 points a week which is respectable but Reignman (Team Bring it) is averaging 150-200 points more so he'll be the major threat in the early rounds. Time to check the fixture!

ROUND ONE FIXTURES

REB's tips in bold.

Hogg Shield

REB vs. Parko
Woggy vs. Cub
Gingernuts vs. Hammo
Reignman vs. Booney
Carlos vs. The Wog
Trunky vs. SBJAC
Mighty Eags vs. Pup
Real Number 3 vs. Bleu Boy

Div II

Habib vs. Cub II
Nathan vs. finn
Luke vs. Shan
blood5 vs. Carlos II
REB II vs. Carey
Hearts on Fire vs. Punk Rooster
The Bye vs. Reignman II
Benny boy vs. Tom Hafey

Well boys the first round is apon us and our intruder the evil Reignman has topped both ladders in the pointscoring stage. This 'gentleman' appears to build his side around high scoring defence so if you're lucky you won't have to play him too early and you can strengthen your side beforehand. Please be aware that any team with a II next to it in the second division will not be eligble to enter the Hogg premier next year so it will be the two highest second divvy teams that will get promoted.

In Div II we have a goose (Carlton Supporter typical) who has started tanking early. I'm not sure if he gets zero all year or if he will be replaced by Herald Sun this week. Right now he's listed as the bye and who gets first crack at him? That's right, bloody reignman!!

Good luck boys.

You've got to make allowances for Collingwood supporters I suppose LOL.

Good start Pup. I was going OK but had a real shocker last week. I traded for cash last round and now need that do re mi in order to secure the personnel to get that vital first up win. Carrying some real duds at the moment! :(

ROUND TWO FIXTURES

Top eight coaches in bold.

Hogg Shield

REB vs. Woggy
Parko vs. Cub
Gingernuts vs. Reignman
Hammo vs. Booney
Carlos vs. Trunky
The Wog vs. SBJAC
Mighty Eags vs. Real Number 3
Pup vs. Bleu Boy

In Round two we have the top two sides Mr Football and It Hurts so bad, playing each other. There was only nine points between them last week so this will be a close one. At the other end of the scale we have the bottom two Mighty Crows and Boxhead's best also squaring off. On last week's results this one won't be as close with Boxhead having an advantage of over three hundred points.

Round One High score: 2113 (Pup, Hammo)
Round Two Low score: 1377 (Carlos)

Div II

Habib vs. Nathan
Cub II vs. finn
Luke vs. blood5
Shan vs. Carlos II
REB II vs. Hearts on Fire
Carey vs. Punk Rooster
Reignman II vs. Tom Hafey
Benny Boy bye

Just like Divvy I, Round two has the top two sides facing off in The Fenders and We take bribes. Last week we saw Nathan's Bird of Prey rack up an impressive 2125 points which makes finny dead set stiff to lose with a total of 2096 which was in fact the second highest score for the round. DOH. At the duddy end of the comp, Carlos and Shan face off for the right to avoid sitting next to Fevalenko, the bye.

Round One high score: 2125 (Nathan)
Round Two low score: 1377 (go Carlos!)

Good luck this week and unless you are Hearts on Fire may your team win this week.

Dunno Eags, you'd have to be going pretty ordinary to come in under Carlos. He has been very consistent over the last two seasons. However, I am hoping to get revenge on you after you beat me in the Super XIV Rugby tho! I've only won two games all year and I won it last season!

Heh heh. Still, in my divvy one team I dropped Dal Santo for Corey and made Heath Shaw Skipper instead of Gabblett. My Div II side is killing my div I side. DOH.
