They lost 5 in 2013 before that Regime even came into existence

I dont think he is a pick 5. He is worth in the 12-20 mark, its up to the Saints to find that

The clubs that dont work really hard on retention via club culture really get shown out at this time of year.

That's what i was alluding to in my post a few pages back. Why would clubs bother? REB rightly said his club is doing well with interstaters but for some clubs it just doesn't make sense.

Jed Anderson requested a trade, straight swap for Yarran about right.
I think he is still contracted though so will need to be a real good deal for Hawks to let him go. Im a bit worried about letting mids go that we have put alot of time into when the end is near for alot of our midfield. Hallahan last year, Anderson this year.
IMO if Suckling goes it opens the door for Anderson

Why is it in the AFL there is such a huge 'come home' factor!!!

You like at sports like Soccer and Cricket and most players are quite happy to spend their entire careers playing abroad (in the case of cricketers they spend so much time playing overseas tours these days)

It's an easy excuse

Thats a cultural thing also. Most Americans go outside their home town to attend College so it's not seen as much as an issue for professional sports people.

Club has said he can listen to other clubs and see what they can get.

Wont be a straight swap for Yarran i wouldn't think, WCE and a few others are into him. Will be picks for him if he goes i would suspect

This is what i was thinking. Maybe Johanisen can get floated through the mids... a bit of outside run and carry
