Umm no
Although a rabble ATM Melbourne will turn it around.
You also get to play at the MCG most weeks and hardly travel.
Plus living in Melbourne is better than living in Perth which is like living on Mars

Yet despite that Freo regularly play in front of bigger crowds, have a brighter future, have more money in nearly all departments and are going to be successful sooner than Melbourne IMO.

I know where i would rather be

I still wouldnt want to be a bloody freo ;)

Currently reading the B Fevola book, was interesting that he was drafted the same year Des Headland went number 1 to Brisbane.

Des was that certain he wanted to be picked number 2 by Fremantle that at the draft camp interviews with Brisbane he continued to wear Freo polo's and guernseys.

Brisbane weren't bothered and took him number 1.

Yeah him and his old man wore freo merchandise into their interview.

Their was actually a documentary called the draft which covered the rise from the national championships and getting drafted following Headland, Fev, Rama and their families.. Try and get your hands on it.

I will do, Fev refers to it a fair bit, originally it was only meant to be headland and Rama featured but Fev wouldn't stop putting his head infront of the camera so the producer included him.

In the Fev book definatly says Freo because he was from WA and they had the second pick, Brisbane had number one.

Other interesting thing to come out of book was how much Kouta and Pagan hated each other!

i Remember at the time there were rumours regarding Cyril Rioli doing simialr things in a few of his interviews, pretending he wasnt that serious about his footy and didnt know wheather he wanted to play AFL to some clubs, then others doing all the right things and making himself very appealing to the clubs of his choice

it was well documented that the carlton older players could not come to grips with the pagan style
he went on record as saying that a huge part of the problem was that the calton players had for to long basically ran the place and that they were handled with kid gloves
pagans style was old school and he was the best i ever heard for giving a spray
he had a lot of success at north because the core group of players he had were all brought into senior footy by him from coaching them in under19
he did admit after carlton that he had a problem being able to communicate with the new y generation

Who doesn't have a problem communicating with gen-y it's a bit hard when they have their ear phones plugged into their ears with doof doof music playing from their I-pods and they all want to be spoon fed everything.
