I know but it's just another setback for him.
Plenty of others in front of him now.

Barring an injury crisis you'd have to say his AFL days are over.

Broadbent out with an ankle he rolled during the week, replaced by White. Now, what the ****?

Last week Hinkley said Young made his way back in with the form he showed at SANFL level, "rewarding form" was the comment. White had 6, 6 ******* touches against the Blues at Unley last week while Palmer, Atley and Drew have had solid months.

White will be delisted at seasons end, why play him and why reward him for 6 touches?

Spot on.

Whilst I can see reasons behind selecting White (pace on the wings, experience etc), there are also many negatives to his selection, such as his average disposal and impact on games.

Spot on re. Hinkley's comments. Rewarding "form" for Young, who's selection proved fruitless last week (2 kicks for 2 goals), but not Dougal on the back of 8, and then selecting White over very consistent form from Palmer especially, but more Drew as that like for like, is baffling.

It would be utterly baffling if it weren't so predictable.

SAM POWELL-PEPPER will remain at Port Adelaide until the end of 2020 and Billy Frampton has penned a contract extension until the end of 2019 in new deals announced today.

The duo represent the next generation of Power players committing to the club, with Powell-Pepper particularly drawing plaudits for his impressive start to the season.

The 19-year-old was nominated for the AFL Rising Star award in Round 1, and says he’s excited to be remaining at Alberton, where he has kicked goals on the field as an emerging midfielder and away from it as an ambassador for the club’s Aboriginal programs.

“I’m really thrilled, I love the club and everyone here. I’m just stoked to be here for another two years on top of my current contract,” Powell-Pepper told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“I was pretty thrilled to get the [Rising Star] nomination. It’s been a fairy tale start to play every game and be injury free; I couldn’t ask for much more.

“Working with the mids like Ollie, Ebo and Chaddy to give Robbie a chop-out up forward has been great.

“I’m looking forward to working on a few things with my game with Michael Voss, like defensive running. In the meantime I’m just getting the hang of playing AFL footy and having fun along the way.”

Frampton has established himself as a ruck and forward of the future playing the first years of his career in the SANFL.

Wearing the black-and-white guernsey, Frampton’s aggression and commitment to the jumper has earned him cult status in the minds of regular attendees at Magpies games.

Having overcome injury challenges in the first two years of his career at Alberton, Frampton has been a mainstay in the Magpies this year as he puts pressure on for senior AFL selection.

“It’s amazing the difference continuity of training can make, particularly for a developing big man,” Port’s GM of Football Chris Davies said.

“Billy is a big, strong, aggressive ruckman who loves the contest.

“He hasn’t broken through for a senior game yet but his hunger to learn and improve shows he has a bright future with us.”

In bold.

SPP has shown leadership through his life so far, he was appointed school captain at Wesley College in Perth and from what I hear is showing real maturity in the indigenous programs the club runs.

It's something I'm very proud of as a Port member/supporter, the cultural programs we run make a huge difference to many you indigenous people's lives and to have someone like Paddy Ryder pick Port ( in part ) as his destination club of choice because of these programs is outstanding.

This SPP kid looks lie he's the goods on and off field. Now, if we could just get him to stop wiping his hair off his face every 2 minutes during the games....
PAFC. Forever.

Ollie will be in the #1 next year, SPP can have it in about 5-6 years from now.

I would agree with you boon. I have always like the look of him. Hes a big bodied midfielder and not a slug for a bit of pace either. Hes a good pick up. You have done well this time.

So maybe we should get back to talking about Lobbe and Hartlett on long term deals. Enough of this positive crap for you guys.
