How you feel about Craigy being 2 IC Jimbo? just a bit of added salt in your wounds after a tough year ;)

Not happy but cant see him having too big of a role. Hirdy and Bomber will still be calling all the shots. Craig will just oversee everything

No contact on gameday but Hird is allowed to socialize with the players so im guessing plenty of midweek BBQ's at the Hird household ;)

which is why the (non) decision to not prevent Hird from having any contact with Essendon or attending any AFL ground was dumb, plain dumb ... or was it a condition that Hird's lawyers demanded from the AFL?

Agreed!! Pretty ridiculous penalty as he can still be there at the game. Bet the mobile bill will get taken care of by the bombers.

This club and the AFL become a bigger farce day by day.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

I heard audio of Liddle's statement at the best and fairest. He got to "and we'd like to thank James Hird" and had to stop for about a minute whilst the crowd cheered and clapped.

It's a cult!

The man has lead you through your darkest days and you STILL laud the bloke. Strange.

The Liddle statement concluded with something along the lines of 'only pleading guilty to spare the club'. Yada yada yada......

The saviour will return in 2015 to what squad????

Interview again in next day or 2 I believe.
With the re-shuffle we have a spare defensive coach job.

Lucky that Collins got the Williamstown job otherwise he might have pinched the Essendon role off Bass, oh hang on, it's not called the ultra-defensive coach is it?

More than happy with Bomber Thompson getting the job but I'm appalled at Craigy getting on the payroll. He must have something to offer that we can't see and that was missed by the Crows and Melbourne

I think he does have some football brains in regards to sports science and development, his tactics and matchday coaching is appalling. I think you will find Craig will have more of a development role within the club, Bomber wont let him have any input towards tactics or lineups
