better now I think. Most supporters I know have been pretty happy with him since the start of 2018 when his body and his on field leadership have shone through.

Whilst the jury is out on the Roos/Goodwin handover, you would think we would take a more careful approach than to rush into this arrangement.

The issue i have with Roos is its a 2 or 3 year hand over deal. So again we are not trying to win and looking to the future. Been rebuilding for 20 years. List age wise will be better in 3 years but also won't have Simpson Murphy Thomas Kruezer so no guarantee any better.

The next 4 weeks will be really telling for Carlton IMO. Our last 7 weeks have been great and its awesome to win games but apart from the Brisbane game all of our wins have been against teams that are not in form. Freo - trash, Sydney - rebuilding, Adelaide - pile of crap, GC - even larger pile of crap. Yes they are good wins especially the wins in Sydney and Perth but im not 100% sold since our best players are still including Curnow, Murphy and Simpson. No disrespect to them but we need them to be playing smaller roles and we get a win. There has been some massively good signs from Silvagni, Setterfield and obviously Walsh but im just not there yet. We still have a lot of growth left.

Won a flag at Sydney with a squad full of talent, I think Longmire has done batter with less talent at his disposal.

Around 66% at Sydney, his numbers are skewed by taking over the basket case that was/is Melbourne.

Having said that, in 2005 when they won it only 3 teams scored less than them in the season proper and they won finals with 7, 15 and 8 goals. As he played is as he coached, defence first.

And we have him to thank for Lyon, Longmire and his other defence first disciples

The pres said that our plans haven't changed, we'll be bringing someone in to win games. To me that means, no training period, no training wheels, no initiation, no rebuild.

If Roos or someone else was to come in it would be as a mentor, not as coach.

Our list is in good shape. We have depth for the first time in years.

I'd love to see Roos/Teague or even an Eade/Teague combo. Someone to help a fledgling coach. Note, this type of in club mentoring seems to not work as it this position doesn't exist or hasn't been proven to exist within club ranks to date.

Collingwood tried. We tried. Both failed and weren't replaced.
