Just so you get to hear it once in your life - "Gee, that is a biggun JK!"

We had plenty of chances in the last quarter to close the gap and push Essendon to the line.

Schulz and Stewart misses gave up the momentum we had and both times Essendon scored from the kick in play.

Having said that, after beating Sydney and Collingwood to really only lose to Essendon on the back of 15 minutes of poor play doesn't upset me too much.

Very proud of the boys last month and think from here we will play finals. Wont beat the Hawks this week, but 5 of our final 8 games we should win with that form.

Hawks (H)
St (A)
Lions (H)
Adelaide

Geelong (A)
GC (H)
Freo (A)
Carlton (H)
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

I reckon you're a chance in every home game mate, although the Hawks will likely be the biggest test yet.

There has been two contrasting Port's this year .. The opening 5 games + post bye, then the team of the 5 games leading into the bye.

Need to try and avoid the latter from re-surfacing.

Should win 3 @ home. That might be it though.

Westhoff can accept a 1 match penalty for striking Cale Hooker.
McKernan only copped 2 weeks, should take it and run especially considering McGinnity copped 3 weeks

Might not be the worst call LM- Freo were comprehensively beaten against the cats and weren't great against st.kilda yesterday. No doubt deserve favouritism but certainly not at the level they would have been 5-6 weeks ago given the form of both sides.

Very surprised McGinnity got three for that, McKernan was lucky to only get 2.

LOL, McKernan gets 2 weeks for an ugly elbow to the head and Stevie J got 2 weeks for a hip and shoulder.
WTF is seriously going on with the game?

I asked my footy hating wife for her opinion on the two incidents after we saw them on the news. Mckernan= cheap shot. McGinnity= good tackle.

It's a mess.

I recon if vince head didn't hit the ground mcginnity wouldn't even been sited. Westhoff very lucky to only get the 1 but how the heck does hooker not even get sited. So apparently you can grab the jumper and throw a punch, pity barry hall didn't know this.

Hawthorn are a protected species and still can't win any games of importance this decade.
Mind you I don't like Taylor Hunt, Mitchell should get games for not hitting him higher and harder!
