It wasn't the best thing to do BUT there have been numerous times it's been done in the past either in the tackle or elsewhere.

The media beat it up into a frenzy and people got sucked in by the hype, and wanted a lynching. They focussed on Adam's shoulders being injury prone. Bzzzzzzzzz. Wrong. You take to the field and you're 100%.

How many times have we seen blokes getting bumped ala Riewoldt in Brisbane when injured? Heaps. Same for blokes with dodgy shoulders ala Porps / Carrots etc

Cyril Rioli gave a similar "chicken wing" tackle to Robbie Warnock, who had to leave the ground. How much coverage did this receive? None. 16:05 on the game time clock
