Reckon I heard/read that both Rance & Jonas contacted the players they hit directly (by phone/text) before the public apology etc via the media. It's all very stage managed, and most likely driven by the big end of town at Docklands. The clubs & the players are puppets.

Jonas did, however, look completely remorseful immediately afterwards.
Even the way he showed little resistance when the Eagles came after him suggested he felt pretty bad about it.

I agree with you Dogwatcher, I was not suggesting Jonas wasn't genuine in his apology/s.

Jonas 6 weeks. Could have been 6 to 5 but the tribunals initial interpretation of the event was challenged by Port as it seems according to the media. Interesting to see Port Adelaides reasoning.

Said he was caught between spoiling the ball and bracing for the impact. No surprise they didn't believe that fairytale. Also flies in the face of copping whatever you get when you challenge anything.

Port didn't fight it, he was referred straight to the tribunal no deals done once at the tribunal.

I think 6 is harsh.
