That is Graham Cornes' theory

Yeah 5AA quoting Cornes on twitter. Not sure if its a theory without substance or a rumour.

I don't see why he would go elsewhere to play if the Crows are offering a contract. If it's the lure of coaching then I doubt that particular opportunity will be limited. 300 game All Australian inside mids tend not to get overlooked too often.

Well lets look at the facts. 5aa are involved, a Cornes is involved.

Sounds like a formula for more shit than bull. All we need is Jars to confirm it as well and say its from a good source and we can probably can it.

Didn't Graham Cornes say the Crows paid too much for Eddie Betts? =))

The defence rests,

He also wouldn't have traded Groom for McLeod. Sacking Cornes won the Crows 2 flags. ;-)

Barrett last night on the footy show reckons Ben Jarman has chosen the Hawks over the Crows, but then might have suggested the Crows have not shown as much interest due to having many similar players like Ben.
I'm not so sure...I would still like him on the list, depends on where other clubs push him up to on the draft order I suppose.

he hasnt been a stand out in the 18s. he has been doing good yes but not overly outstanding, there are plenty players doing far more out there who would be selected first

he is barely taller than boomer harvey

his name is getting more hype than the player

Not everyone wants to go to a Melbourne club mate. Home state lure, stay with the family would play a part.

Add to that the cycle looks to be turning towards Adelaide and away from Hawthorn as far as success in the near future goes.

Doubt it, they'll probably just do a Geelong and rebuild for 12 months.

If it's a cycle of treading water as opposed to sliding down the ladder then yes. Good forwards, shortarse backline and a one man midfield. Good luck with that.

The 30-year-old’s retirement from AFL football is effective immediately. However, he will continue to play for Adelaide’s State League team during the Club’s maiden SANFL finals campaign.

I'm guessing a plum 'development coaching' role next season??
