Apparently a very shallow draft this year with a maximum of 50 kids to be taken, look for there to be more trades than ever as clubs try to improve

Best time of year to do it.

JZ, Cunners and Goldy all gone, there is a fair bit of shinboner walking out of the door this year :(

With due respect to the player he has been, a contender isn't looking for a 35 year old back up ruckman.

Opens mouth. Changes foot.

North star linked with blocksbuter Collingwood shift

Todd Goldstein informed North Melbourne he will be seeking a move away from the club where he’s spent the entirety of his career.

The star ruckman has elected to look for a fresh opportunity elsewhere with Collingwood emerging as the frontrunner to secure his services.

Essendon and St Kilda had reportedly expressed interest, but it’s the Pies who loom as his likely landing destination.

Goldstein, 35, played 20 games throughout the 2023 season where he averaged 13 disposals to go along with 29 hit-outs per game.

He is an unrestricted free agent meaning the Pies can recruit him at no cost from a draft perspective.

Collingwood getting Goldstein makes a mockery of getting rid of Grundy.
Paying 2 ruckmen and acquiring the older of the 2 on the list.

Clubs make mistakes, but considering Collingwood are potentially 2.5 days away from winning the flag, I think they might not give a shit

Goldstein can go forward.
Grundy can't.

Think it was Collingwood over capitalised and Grundy was surplus to requirements
