One swallow doesn't make a summer.

Plenty of other plays influenced the outcome more than that one.

Correct, like only having 3 men in the square with still 2 mins left.

Teams bust their gut all pre-season, then in games, the game gives you very little if you don't earn it....but you can control knowing the rules, Dixon obviously had no idea which is beyond comprehension!

Not for Charles it's not

It must of been yonks, it is known as the AFNBL now.

While Port lost and there are plenty of people wanting to hang shit on big Charlie I'm pretty happy with how both Port and Charlie are going at the moment. Always hard to get the points at Geelong but the signs are positive. I'm really enjoying the effort.

That was a bloody good game of football. I thought Geelong were on top early but missed chances. Then Ports engine room took over which meant the Power could leave Gray up forward and he created havoc. Geelong got on top again and then Port who then missed chances themselves. Dixon's brain fart will be topical but Westhoffs missed goal at the start of the last was also an important moment.

Been a shithouse kick for goal his entire career
Has a few mates as well

Cant believe how many people are talking Port up as a contender.
Their 150% b4 this game means SFA when youve earnt it against garbage teams in Brisbane, Carlton, Freo (at the time) and GC
Will get the chance to obliterate Brisbane again in a few weeks time to cover over the cracks.
At 5 - 4 will be lucky to make the 8 the way they're going.

Exactly.

Should just scrap the 30 second shit and give them the same time as players in general play.
you never know, players having less time to think about would probably increase goalkicking accuracy.

Would take the pressure off the umpires who have to determine in a few seconds whether the player is within range to have a genuine shot at goal.

But I thought it was only West Coast that gets a free ride when they play at home. 8-[
9 free kicks given to the 2 most protected players in the game.

Turn it up. The rule is in place to stop players taking so much time to kick at goal. Don't blame the rule cause Charlie is a stupid prick who can't look up at the shot clock like every other player does

Westhoff's miss on the half time siren was just as important as was his dumb decision to pass 20 metres back to Polec who missed as well earlier on.
Clearly lacking confidence.

Social media has gone into melt down over the umps. Yes they were bad but look at things you can control. Westhoff not kicking for goal and missing at half time. Dixons brain fart. Hartletts disappearing act.

Mostly Port mate

Disagree, the Twittersphere was 100% in ridicule of the umpiring and plenty of it was without Port bias attached.

Having said that, not match is won or lost by umpiring and no match is won or lost in 2 seconds ( the time Dixon should have commenced his approach from ).

As amber notes above, Westhoff's kick back to Polec to kick from outside 50, his rushed effort snapping in the last quarter ( pity as he played his role on the night and I thought Westy was one of our most consistent contributors across the 4 quarters ) Gray's dropped mark late, not killing the ball in the Cats F50 allowing Dangerfield to swoop, poor delivery into the F50 when we did have the rub of the green.

Exceptional effort by Wines, Ebert and SPP in the guts. No easy kicks on Hombsch, Jonas and Clurey who are building into a very sound defensive unit, does anyone in the AFL world know Polec has no right foot? He's in top form at the moment, his side step is as good as anyone in the game.

5-4 and have lost to the current top 4. Could be worse, could be better. Expect us to do a number on what's left of Hawthorn next Thursday.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!
