Too many glory hogs...ie. Thomas and Harvey.

Cant judge a team on preseason performance...look at Sydney, they do **** all in the preseason.

On the other hand, Carlton usually do alright in the preseason, and look where that gets them.

This game meant nothing, zero, **** all.

When they have the best team out there then yes you can judge them.

Brad Scott is gone.

Do you know their pregame instructions?

Do you know what the coaches told them about what they want to see? What they want to practice? What they DONT want them to do?

When the game means nothing, players intentionally dont play at full intensity. No matter what you think.

Have you ever even played a preseason trial game?

Excuses excuses, norf played a strong side against half of Carltons and lost.

same old same old from norf

you will never go anywhere with Thomas, Harvey, Spud and Nahas in your team

and they are all first 22 players for you.

pathetic.

Remember the last 2 times Carlton won the NAB Cup?

How'd those two seasons turn out for them? 2005 - 16th 2007-15th (both in a 16 team comp)

Preseason means nothing. You of all people should know that.

What's pathetic is someone that supports Carlton thinking they have any right to judge another team when they can't even sort their own shit out.

Last time I checked Carlton played and won a final last year....what did norf do?

When are they going to stop being a rabble? I keep hearing about how good they are but they are still extremely average.

Seems very familiar with what I hear about Carlton. Top 4 prospects every year and never deliver.

How many 1st draft picks have you champions had in the last decade? Three is it?

And two 2nd draft picks as well? Did you also get priority 1st round picks for being so shit as well?

Good way to build a club.

On the flip side, the Kangaroos have only finished below 10th three times since their last premiership (beating Cartlon, when they were cheating mind you) 15 years ago.

It is a bit harder building a team without bottoming out, and having the countries top prospects handed to you, all because you cheated in the first place.

Good on Carlton though. They did win that final last year, so thats good, i guess.

No one is talking Carlton up. Yet everyone is yapping on about the norf juggernaut.

celebrating mediocrity, sad.

Who's celebrating anybody? Its preseason you spud. Means zero. If the Roos won, I wouldn't be on here saying Carltons seasons over, and they're hacks.

Anyway, Im over trying to talk sense to you, coz you cant possibly be wrong.

I do have a bit of a theory for anyone else that might like to hear it. (Squids need not comment)

Probably way off the mark, but maybe the Roos wanted to go into the last quarter down by a fair margin to see if they could put in a good 4th quarter effort and come back. Considering last years 4th quarter fade outs, it could've been the case.

Probably wrong, but these are the kinds of things football coaches and players work on in the preseason.
