Would the doggies go for both Hall and Fevola? How will this affect other trades, such as Burgoyne and Gibsons move? Will it at all?

I reckon the Bulldogs, Sydney, St Kilda and Collingwood would all entertain the idea

I think all 15 clubs in the AFL would be entertaining the idea of trading for Fevola - he is the reigning Coleman Medallist!

Correct. Just about every club in the AFL has had a player with baggage or taken one to straighten them out.

They'd all be speculating about whether they could keep him off the booze and break his binge drinking pattern.
Also, perhaps, wondering whether, if they don't succeed, he may lead others in the same direction.
It's a difficult one - undoubted talent - high risk.. :?

I'm not. We've just got rid of Johnson, Brown, Coughlan, Bowden and every other older guy except Richo and Cousins. If Hardwick is serious about rebuilding our club for a genuine tilt at a flag in 4-5 years, it would be contradictory of him to pick Fev up. Not sure how the latter three would be feeling if he did.

Strong word is that leon davis is on the way out from collingwood. freo normally pick up players like this. could make a simple trade with tarrant. also from fero Dave Mundy has said he would like to go back to melb at some stage.

gamble and tenace to essendon for lovett
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

gamble and tenace for lovett??
Big loss for Geelong for mine!

Fevola for tarrant and second round pick would be suitable for both parties for mine! Allows Mcpharlin to play down back with fevola n pav up forward.

Why wouldnt they be able to afford him? :?

not enough room in their salary cap, they re Signed Cooney, Higgins, Griffin, Cross and Boyd this year. and they are only losing Scotty Welsh who was on around 200,000

Won't Carlton pay a fair bit of Fev's salary since he is still contracted for the next two years?

Isn't Geelong trying to cut down on player payments that individual players receive, i can't see how doing this trade could assist this.

well if i was in port shoes i'd trade burgoyne for fevola, thus stopping him from going where he wanted to & getting a power forward (no pun intended) especially as tredrea wont be around for too much longer
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Not sure how serious you are being here but the players have to agree to any trade the clubs come up with

There's no chance Fev will move to either here or WA.

i was being very serious in the sense of posing it as a question/idea & perhaps he might just decide he'd be better off out of melbourne....& hondo if you were port would you in the very least look at it especially considering carlton will pay the majority of the contract

Not denying that there would have been word out of Collingwood that Davis want's out but that seems to happen every year but after the Collingwood fans disgraceful bronx cheering of him it could actually happen this time.

None of them would be on more than $350k, in fact the Bullies dont really have a marque player

Cooney and Boyd would be on more then 350k IMO.

Higgins will be asking 350k after his contract finishes. He is a star in the making! (not far of elite status)
