port adelaide and proud.

OK I'll bite. Tell us all in your infinate wisdom how exactly Port Power, who didn't exist at the time, created the Adelaide Football Club mallee.

Very naive comment Haloman

Crows man through and through Hondo - go Geelong.
All bullshit aside, it is fact that Port Adelaide forced the AFL's hand in 1990 which resulted in our team playing in 1991.
Naive to think otherwise I would have thought.

Port Adelaide MAGPIES may have forced the SANFL's hand but Port Power certainly had nothing to do with it and Port Magpies certainly did not "create" us.
Anyway u lot get back on topic.
The biggest question mark over this Grand Final is where are The goals going to come from. Both midfields are pritty good and will most likely break even on the day. Maybe Geelong has a SLIGHT advantage at ground level over Port but the Port ruckman in Lade and Brogan should have Geelong's measure (again only a slight advantage)
If Mooney or Treadrea can have a big day it could tip the scales on way or another. I'd suggest Mooney is most likely to have a day out hence Geelong should win by a couple. This will be a much closer GF than some others have predicted IMHO.
I can't imagine more than 2 goals in it at the end of the day. If it is a blow out it will be in Geelong's favor no doubt at all.

Just about my last post before I,and 8 others hit the road in our 12 seater, and I cant fargen wait!!!!!!!!!!!

For mine,I think Geelong have been the best side all year, and for us to beat them tomorrow will be an upset, but stranger things have happened.

I go with trepedation, but quiet confidence.

COME ON PORT ADELAIDE!!!!!!!

Right, lets get serious and put our footy analyst hats on ......

Where will the game be won and lost?

- rucks seem about even
- Port's forward line looks to have an edge over Geelong's defence
- Geelong's forward line looks to have the edge over Port's defence
- midfield looks to be Geelong if they play to their potential, but don't under-estimate Port there

So Geelong should get up from where I sit - maybe 21-30

Yeah should be won at in the middle and at stoppages. Both midfields when on song can be hard to stop but i think Lade and Brogan will be slightly better than Ottens and King thus giving the power onballers first use of the footy more often. Port by 21 points and peter burgoyne the norm smith :D
