Half back flankers are dime a dozen, even more so at Port where for a couple of years it was seemingly the only type of player we drafted. As good a player as he is, and he is very good, he's absolutely expendable.

Spot on my friend. Pittard leaving would open the door for Bonner who in my opinion is a 10 year player with outstanding decision making and devastating foot skills. Even with Pittard in the side it staggers me Bonner isn't in the mix.

Jeez you're quick to jump off him you guys. Thought he has been outstanding for you for the last couple of years.

I'm not necessarily jumping off Pittard MW, but what I'm getting at is its well documented we have put a few eggs in 1 basket so to speak with draft picks (Last nights showing suggests its not as bad as people have made that out to be) so obviously you need to lose someone with some value at the trade table to get back in the first round of draft picks. I'm simply stating that if it meant we lost Pittard to get back in the first round I'd take it as opposed to losing a Powell-Pepper, Wines or the like if you get what I'm saying, and with replacements already on the list it wouldn't be all doom and gloom.

I'm not, he's very important to us and his ability completely cock things up has diminished in the last 2 years. I think he's one of our most consistent contributors down back now and don't want to, nor think we will, lose him.

This is his 8th year living in SA, his adult life, his home is here now. Would be surprised if he moves to a team rebuilding at his age.

No offer has been put to Pittard, either from North or Port.

Port are in talks with Pittard's management, on the provision no contract can be put on the table until the new collective bargaining agreement has been resolved.

Toumpas came in to replace Amon as the late withdrawl, more mid than back.

I haven't jumped off, I was never on!
Jasper Sh!ttard has been on my list of guys not to trust for years!

Yes, as booney said, he's got better at not sh!tting the bed, but I still don't rate him.

Mind you, I also didn't rate our chances this year and had us finishing in the bottom 6.
Wins so far over 18th, 17th, 16th, 15th, 14th and 8th (when they were cr@p) have made me look a tad silly!

*chance of getting back onto 1st round of draft thtough free agency compensation

*frees up some salary cap space - dont want to over-pay for a flanker
*allows us to get more games into Bonner & Houston

Don't want to over-pay for a flanker?

What like you did with Hartlett?

Lesson learnt at least for Port!

I'm not off him, big fan, but its just a reality that of all the out of contract players we have, of the ones that would get us anything back at all in return, he would be the one player who is plying his trade in a position where we have the most depth.

carey mentioned Bonner. Then there is Houston. Broadbent. Hartlett. Krakouer. Impey. Byrne Jones.

All capable of either holding down that spot or have done so in the past.

Your right things don't change, especially your pathetic predicable boring posts about crowds.

Go back to the SANFL thread where Morell is playing you on a break!

Can be very easily explained. 6,000 have jumped off the Hawthorn bandwagon. The bandwagon for which all others can be measured.

Nah stopped arguing with that dumbass weeks ago. Absolute nfi that bloke.

Just another clueless sa football hater trying to justify his port Adelaide/afl fandom. I called him out weeks ago

Ross Oakley would be proud. Fos Williams however.

I did love Booney chirping from behind his shoulder Chester and Spike style.

So we are back to the familiar situation where we have PAFCs debts increasing and crowds decreasing.

Gee I wonder how this will end ??? :-)

You show lots of interest in the Port Adelaide AFL crowds, post nothing about your "beloved" ( dropped ) Centrals.

Chester, now I know who you look like! Thanks bud, made my Monday morning.

Only 4 edits this time! You're getting there UK Fan, maybe one day you'll even learn how to argue a point using evidence and logic instead of spitting the dummy like a Gowans twin.

Nonetheless, it was a slightly disappointing crowd on Thursday night. No doubt Hawthorn sucking (their numbers were way down compared to previous years) and it being colder than a Central supporters Elizabethan lounge room after their electricity was cut off didn't help.

Hawks play Crows on a Thursday night this year too, guess will find out then a comparison on crowd sizes.

It was bloody freezing last Thursday night though!

It appears your knowledge of demographics is the same as your opinions on football. About 10-15 years outdated.

The SEIFA index for disadvantage for Mitchell Park is in the 61st percentile @ 1027. Elizabeth is... well, the 4th percentile at @ 787.

You're thinking of the housing trust dominated Mitchell Park (which I love) of the 80s. That's long gone.
