If something happened to an SANFL team, you think they'd just sit the season out? No, they'd rape the league below them like they've done since the formation of the league

Yep, if it all turns pear shaped for the Bombers I hope the SANFL (and other leagues) don't get raped again but I fear they will.

Don't think they will be raped, only talking about 9 players. I'd imagine we would grab some from our VFL side and maybe a couple from other leagues tops.
Would think it will only be for a few games

Thought most would come from the VFL side and then adding in new players drafted and recruited who were not part of the saga would mean only a couple of players would be looked at from other leagues.

Will Jobe have to hand his Brownlow back? You'd think so considering he was found guilty...

You'd be filthy if you were port and the saints with their recent pick ups!

But it's not Essendon's or Hirdy's fault, it is the fault of past generations of Essendon players and officials sinning and now they are being punished by God
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Monfries, not so much. We've got cover for him and his role.

Ryder, on the other hand is a huge loss. Wonder what his contract stated in regards to potential bans? Maybe a reduced salary if it eventuated? I'd love to know.

Wouldn't a standard contract include a base and matchday component? If so, this saga will have a fair bit to play out for the Bombers still in court as players rightly chase recompense and damages through the legal system you'd imagine.

I've read that they can appeal through the Swiss Federal Tribunal as CAS is located in Switzerland

I would imagine missed earnings would only be a portion of compensation the bombers would have to pay when sued

I don't think top flight players would be base+matchday. That would make Total Player Payments difficult to calculate. I think the fringe/rookies would be base + match day bonus.

Feel gor the players. But not Essendon. They did this to themselves.

The players pay the price now. And its a big price.

Could Port/St Kilda/Melbourne also seek damages from the Bombers and/or AFL?
