Play each other once. Whoever you have at home one year you are away the next.

The Melbourne clubs will be outraged if there is a balanced draw.

Play everyone twice, mid week matches requires squad rotations no reserves teams

Club with the best list management wins

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It is still flawed, unless you play each other once away and once at home.

It will eventually happen, the games will get shorter, the lists will get larger, the contact will be less and we've seen during COVID that you can play games on any day of the week, except next time they will have crowds.

Won't happen with the TV rights

At the very least they need to have the first 17 rounds playing against everyone (reverse home and away each year) not waiting to the last round to play a team for the first time.

Would be interesting though if the AFL was to go to a proper home and away fixture how much the TV rights would increase with XXXXXX amount more games a season.

Petracca is edging closer and closer to making it look as though its not Melbourne who has the culture problem.

Petracca isn't going to leave Melbourne, just making a bit of noise so the back of house gets fixed up.

Then he's a colossal wanker if he thinks that's the best way to go about it.

I'd call his bluff, "Sure, you want to leave, tell the people at the other club to call us".

Much like "talking to other clubs" when negotiating a contract to get yourself more $

I think he's tried to do it behind doors but it sounds like its a shitshow ask Glenn Bartlett

Not really, one gives you a better indication of your market value the other devalues your club.
