We all love our footy but it just shows the AFL really are out of touch with the real world if they continue to play and have special concessions just for them.

wouldnt think it is because of anything to do with the result, forgone conclusion who would win

were they due to play another Showdown before the end of the year? If not, that's ******.

Yes they are, in the proposed fixture the second showdown of 2021 was originally set in round 21.

Put the season on hold for week or two, get rid of the pre finals Bye, season finishes potentially week later than planned. Foxtel/Channel 7 still get all their matches so don’t see how they lose money doing this?

Yep, fair bit of common sense there.

I highly doubt the AFL would put the season on hold because 2 out of 18 teams can't play at home. Nothing's really changed in Melbourne since last week where they staged the usual number of games.

Having said that I'm all for getting rid of the silly pre-finals bye.

Why are they allowed to travel?
Surely it’s not essential?

I couldn't answer that, but I don't expect that the Crows and Power not being able to travel would lead to the AFL postponing the other 7 games scheduled for this weekend.

I think SAHealth should overrule the AFL and at least stop the 2 teams here playing and/or travelling.
If the AFL go ahead with out them then that’s up to them.

Exactly
They want us to follow their strict rules but make exemptions for the high and mighty!

I am pretty sure securing thousands of jobs and billions of dollars for the economy by holding these olympics are pretty essential

The premier could have flown to Antarctica as he had no bearing on the Olympic committee’s decision
