Yep this 100%. No chance the SANFL stands up to the AFL and no chance the AFL shows goodwill to state/country leagues. Their goodwill is in the dollars they provide.

I think we're all going to be pleasantly surprised on this one, it seems as though the SANFL players are willing to play for bugger all, it will go ahead, possibly before the AFL starts.

The afl would want footy back in any form quick as.

Its in the best interest of the game to get state leagues that have zero active cases back ASAP.

The afl would want footy back in any form quick as.

Victoria continue to get new active cases each day now, the AFL which is so Vic central has a real problem. I can't see them start in the next 2 months unless they suddenly get control of the spread again.

In SA we seem to better off why not get our local sports going.

That was always going to happen

With the amount of money they are set to get by playing games through the tv deal compared to not playing meant they will throw every financial resource to make it happen and ensure they get safety signed off.

Whilst the TV deal is huge for the AFL, don't discount how much the comp and clubs will lose via lack of gate. It's damage control at absolute best for them
