Little things that's piss you off

Talk on the national game

Do we know too much about the game now @ AFL level?? For me bring back the channel 7 opening credits "Fanfare for the common man man" and a couple of clips from each changeroom (Half the time it would show Gary Hocking reading a stick mag or something in his tracksuit or a stray footy hitting Richard Osborne in the head) and then talk some crap for 2 minutes then bounce down.

Stuff the interviews ect. I guess it keeps you guessing a bit too...

A player who has had a lot of opportunity to dispose of the ball, and are tackled slightly high and are given a free kick. Annoys me when the tackle isn't perfect and the player who failed to get rid of it doesn't get penalised.

Living in Perth and night footy beginning @ 5.30pm. Day footy has it's advantages as it finishes early so I can keep the missus happy and take her somewhere after...

"To their credit" gets a mention by players/coaches interviewed nearly as much as "With all due respect" in American political/war shows

Sydney supporters having no clue about the game. Was at the game on the weekend and couldn't believe how much whinging I heard when the crows happened to earn a free kick (that was clearly there). Thought after 30 years their supporters may have got an idea of the game but it doesn't seem that way. Thought crows fans were clearly the worst but that opinion has now changed.

Yup went along to A crows v Freo games years ago. I wore a red long sleeve T, Purple Shorts and a Boston Celtics singlet. I supported Freo all game and got told to sit down and shut up.

Agree. Same with champion, or young champion. Champion infers they have been at the pinnacle for a number of years. Only the very few elite can be young champions who go on to become genuine superstars. I would put Judd, Selwood, Jonathon Brown, Wayne Carey, Shane Warne in cricket, very few others come to mind.

Selwood - really??? Not in the same post code as the other REAL champions you named.

Warne on a different planet to the rest of them. His arguably the greatest ever of a sport played by billions, the other champions in a sport played by thousands/millions?
