Can you point out where I'm defending them ?

Also why don't you mention the other myriad of clubs the other commentators follow ?

Like I said. ****.

I called them Carlton idiots and you said I post ****. Is that not defending them? Bit precious aren't we? Forgot you blokes were untouchable.

Tim "chip on my shoulder" Lane. The only thing worse than hearing him commentate is hearing him live in person. Half back flanker.

A big win for foxtel, Ch 7 must be furious they won the rights whatever will they do without having there big ticket programmes like better homes and gardens running instead of the football lol ;).

Ok serious now, so all 9 games shown live. This will affect crowd numbers you only need to think out it really come on. Perhaps ticket prices might drop but I would not count on it. It just means the in SA the SANFL will screw the teams for worse stadium deals. Side topic really, basically if you want live football, then get foxtel. If foxtel had a sports only package without the other crap, then you would find a stack of people signing up to that.
Anyway $1.25 Bil, thats a lot a clams.

6 of the 8 games currently are live on FTA or Fox so going to 9 isnt a huge leap but gets rid of the blackspots the main advantage for non Crows/port fans

Actually I reckon the only thing worse is when Lane and Walls commentate the same Carlton game.

I find walls hatred of essendon funny. He tees off at every possible oppurtunity and is always having cheap shots at us. I just chuckle because he needs to look in his own back yard and see how terrible of a coach ratten is before he has pot shots at hirdy

Walls hates everyone. Try being and interstate team. For god sakes the man is coming to the end of career as a dickhead, surely.

I'd prefer Peter McKenna. Is Bartlett still on the rules committee? If so, having him as a commentator might remove him from that so he cant push for more unnecessary changes.

I think the new deal is great!
Finally, I get to watch the best game of the week - Friday Night, LIVE.

Currently, I refuse to watch it & use channel 513 to see the updated scores.

My kid will now be able to watch it LIVE also. At present, he can't watch the game because it finishes too late - he has swimming training @ 6 am every Saturday morning & staying up until Midnight is unrealistic.

It's about time subscribers to pay TV got a better deal - even if it is likely to cost me a little more per month.

The bloke from the AFL Gillion Mcglouglin was on SEN this morning, the AFL Channel is going to be part of the Sports Pack, part of the contract between Fox & the AFL, it will go up maybe a bit but will be worth it, I can imagine the amount of subscribers to Fox going up massively with this new TV rights deal.
