Perhaps he had not realised how much he was cruising some of the time in most games this year.

or perhaps he wasn't man enough to cop his being dropped (to WA), & it was beneath him to win his spot back in the side.
Fruit Tingles live in a sheltered fantasy land, & their fan's rose coloured glasses are very hazy at the best of times.

Some fans were being positive PR. there is nothing wrong with that. Although this situation wasnt handled as well as the club would have liked, it worked out well in the end and you cant argure with that. All though some of you pesimists will try.

Lends more weight to the dummy spit theory. If he was still capable of that, he should've swallowed his pride and done that at West Adelaide and forced his way back in for the rest of the year. Perhaps playing in the SANFL is too lowly for him.

Maybe Port should ask a few of its blokes to retire.
You could use some help at the moment.

Having had some past dealings with Tyson over a few years, on Sat I sent him a text message of congratulations on a wonderful career and wished him well.
To prove what a gentleman he really is, this morning I received a reply of thanks along with how much he enjoyed the day etc...
For someone like Tyson to respond to individual messages with my christian name, not just a "blanket response" to every message again just proves what an absolute terrific guy he is and he will be missed at West lakes.

Points to Neil Craig & the club too. They copped an awful flogging at the time about doing the dirty on a club legend when in actual fact they were supporting him all along.

Exactly A Mum - that's why us punters should feel free to comment about such topics, but when those comments are derogatory toward folk who actually know the truth, then we be pulled into line by others/moderators. Speculating about such topics is sheer stupidity.

Could have been handled far better by both parties at the time. Both he and the club could have come out and said exactly what is going on and the next game would be his last
