Im also fully aware every club has someone you could term a wanker playing for them, I just love how much everyone other than Port fans hate Chad. More often than not its the best players that get hated.

Geelong are GONE. We can't win the premiership. Too many of our players are not fit or in the stands. However there are a couple of other factors which are more alarming to this Cat fan.

TURNOVERS: Disgraceful again. In the commentary last night Bruce McAvaney came up with the comment that it was 'unGeelong like'. I would suggest he hasn't been watching us play for the last six weeks becuase unfortunately turnovers from (last night's culprits) Gary Ablett, David Johsnon, Andrew Mackie, David Wojinski and Jimmy Bartel have become all too Geelong like. We are currently less skilled than not only the Bulldogs (who earlier this season had one of the poorest kicking effieiceny records in the AFL) but Collingwood, St Kilda and Carlton as well. For a team as experienced as ours that is a disgrace.

GAMEPLAN: Our gameplan WILL NOT WORK with the current revolving door selection situation. It works fine when everyone is on deck but the current gameplan falls apart badly when blokes like Gamble, Tenace, Gilles, Hogan come into the side and aren't as familiar with the habits of their team mates. Unfortunately, we are stuck with a lame duck coach who despite glimpses this season has consistently failed to come up with a plan B. After waiting so long for the Cats to finally win a premiership I always thought I would revere our flag winning coach but it would be a damming indictment on his 'abilities' if he was to walk away from Cat Park with one flag.

There were a few positives last night: Blake put his hand up, Mooney and Hawkins kicked a few goals and Maxy Rooke made a solid return but SJ and Chapman are lame and our captain is finished. With the Ashes looking gone as well I am currently one unhappy camper!

regards,

REB

I think St.Kilda and Collingwood are well ahead of you and if you dont win the flag, it begs the question.

Port of 01-04 had the mighty Lions to contend with and left that period with 1 flag. Geelong have been so, so dominant for 3 years and may well end up with just the 1 flag leaving Geelong as massive under achievers. Dont write them off just yet though.
