That name sounds like a disease I used to have  . You're right, forgot Bartel aswell. Didn't want to get drawn into a who did play, who didn't play thing but it seems to be all that gets said at this time of year so I joined in.

Cameron Mooney, Corey Enright, Mark Blake, Andrew Mackie and Ryan Gamble and James Bartel and Joel Selwood and Tom Harley and David Wojinski and when it comes to stacking up only Waite, Judd and Fev belong in that company. Nah, these Blueboys aren't going to get ahead of themselves.

Wojinski doesn't make your league side (how many games last year?). Selwood, Gamble and Mackie haven't done anything more than Gibbs, Simpson, Murphy and co. besides win a flag, That doesn't make the players you mentioned any better than them, just says they were playing in a better team.

Same here. It's not as much fun arguing when the outcome is pointless. Hating it that we don't play Geelong until rd 19. The AFL have to do something about that sort of ridiculous scheduling

It's been a while since we played the Blues twice in the same season. It used to happen all the time when we couldn't beat you. DOH.

Deep in the last quarter Geelong are flogging Collingwood like a convict caught with the Governors wife...

12 goals up 5 mins into time on.

What is it with Geelong, Grand Finals and teams that have black and white in their guernseys....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Joel Selwood is such a gun.

I can not wait until he comes to WCE to play with his brothers.

Geelong were on fire, like a certain 1980's Tassie Medalist's house will be...

If he's such a gun how come my 9yo son was the only one smart enough in our household to put $5 on him to win the Tuck Medal at 14/1? :?

Because we all greedily got tunnel vision on the higher odds other players held ... That and the fact that the Cats alone have about a dozen stars

The only thing that game tells you is that Geelong are going to be good again, and Collingwood wont be as good but still goodish.

I reckon the pies will still finish in the 4 but the top 2 will be hard to beat on there day.

Not sure that it even tells us that mate ... My notes from the game were that serious pressure on the ball carrier, particularly through tackling, can bring Geelong undone, but it will be difficult to maintain that intensity against them because Geelong just don't stop their relentless press (still overuse the ball a bit for my liking, but Im no expert) ... Cats will be looking to erradicate the nerves of their young forwards throughout the year and if they do, they don't possess too many weaknesses.
