In a word, no.

You'd have to give something up for him and you're taking a big risk IMO.

im not any of those dudes, but you would be stupid not to. To think he is the only player in the afl to snort a line or three is ridiculous. He just got caught.

I would bet a ton of money that at least one player on every single team has done recreational drugs in their time on an AFL list

get him out of the Gold Coast environment and into boring old adelaide and im sure he would be fine

Atleast 1 on each list lol, would be far more. As you said he was the only poor bugger to get caught

Ok- so i'll pay the technicality.

In response to your 2nd comment- no.

At the end of the day- in answer to Dutchy's question, no I don't believe we have drafted poorly in recent seasons. There was an obvious need for Port to draft key position players, as our stocks were quite thin. KPP's take time to develop, so I never expected to see any of our 2014 draftee's debut this season, also taking into consideration the picks we had.

I am happy with the progression of the 2013 draftees. Impey has been playing regular senior football and looks to be a long term player, and Amon has showed flashes. Harvey can be associated with the KPP's above, and his progression in the SANFL this season has been noticeable in terms of consistency. Not sure what to make of Byrne-Jones- perhaps someone who has watched the maggies more regularly can shed some light there.

Didn't Port give up 2x picks for Ryder - 17 and 37? Guess to decide whether the choice was right probably no good looking at the entire top 50 draft but look at the players taken between those picks and then see what you get - there doesn't seem to be a great lot that jumps off at the page at me.

Ryder was a ready made player and a good fit for Port in an area that was lacking, I don't think they needed to use the draft picks they gave up - would've just proven to be a waste..

I think Port did the right thing with Ryder, was a smart move.

Byrne-Jones is limited mate. He try's his guts out but doesn't read the play very well and his disposal is questionable at best.

With the current landscape he plays SANFL league football, if the landscape were not as it is, he'd be playing SANFL reserves.

Port also did the right thing by Ryder and Essendon. He wanted to come here, we gave them I think adequate compensation for him wanting to leave the doctors rooms.

Pittard has rolled his ankle (I assume at training today), and has been sent for scans.

@valleys07

He won't play Sunday. Rolled it at training yesterday and scans will confirm damage or otherwise. Expected to be confirmed tomorrow.

The bloke can play, and Kenny would be a good bet to rein him in if he's up to mischief.

He's worth a look.

I would like to see us have a go at getting him over here, for the right price of course. The "Right Price" is the variable, which will be dependent on where we finish at the end of the home and away, and how deep the draft goes. Surely the Suns will be keen to follow the GWS route of multiple first round picks, so they would be looking at our first pick plus a player for him, I would have thought.

He is a top 2 draft pick, with stacks of talent. As Benny previously mentioned, get him out of the party sphere that is the Gold Coast, and into boring ol' Adelaide, and we may be able to draw the best out of him.

would be the perfect fit at the crows :D

Outside runner with speed and good skills to act as the guy that can deliver to the forward line.

Would give up a first rounder for sure

I can't see any reason why the Crows wouldn't make the enquiry either, Benny.

Certainly would offer more to Adelaide than a James Aish for example.

For sure.

I think Aish has a lot to offer, but doesnt seem much different to the crouch brothers for instance.

What would Port Offer GC for Harley Bennell? It would cost a pick and or player.
West Coast and Freo will be after him also. His cousin plays at WC.

Would think a pretty decent first round pick. Port will probably have one in the 8-10 region which would be a minimum for him. The WA sides will have picks in the 14-18 region which wouldnt be enough

Agreed, not suggesting that West Coast or Fremantle wouldn't make an enquiry also.

As Jim suggested, Port will most likely be in the best position to secure his services from those 4 clubs, if the suns are purely seeking picks. I would imagine that multiple clubs would be after him, should he become available, including the likes of Brisbane, Carlton, St. Kilda and Melbourne.

I would think that a pick and player would be required to get the deal over the line, which brings other suitors into play if they are able to orchestrate a trade involving players of potentially a positional need, or of greater ability.
