Accurate comment, no trolling.

If you need to bring my club into it, 2017 was 56,900 vs NM 40,300
Crows gained 4.17% members from 2016 vs NM -10.38%

That the club is doing this without a cent of pokie revenue is something to be very proud of.
With the plans for a massive upgrade to Arden St in motion, our own AFLW & VFL sides entering their respective comps and a senior side full of very promising kids, the future looks extremely bright - and secure.

Also the ONLY club not receiving pokie income, 17 others are on the drip feed.

Also achieved with a shithouse Etihad stadium deal.

And a shithouse membership tally

And tell me why is it so important to be at the top of the tree with memberships if you can churn out profits by living within your means?

The beauty of our club is we have always acknowledged we are never going to big the biggest club in the league, doesn;t stop us wanting to be the best though.

When you're ranked 15th from 18 sides, yes.

Attendances even worse.

Making a profit with, what you guys said "with a shithouse Etihad deal" and I added to that.

Don't know, not sure this info is released and not sure it is relevant anyway. More important how you utilize what you have got and do spend.

Well, it is relevant. If your football department spend is in the bottom few and your on field return is in the bottom few then profit schmofit.

You don't get my point, if football department spend = success then either Collingwood & Essendon would win every year and Bulldogs would not have won last year.

I agree, but if you're curbing your football department spend as part of "living within your means" and you're not giving your core business, the football team, the best possible resources then what's the point of the profit?

I guess you have to assume they're happy with how the on field side of things is progressing. I guess.

Doesn't look too bad, obviously depth and inconsistency will be an issue but reckon we can win more that we are expected to in 2018.

Softer draw & key personnel back from long injuries will definitely help.
Can’t be losing 5 games by less than a goal again either.

I’d still have Waite in the 22, near impossible to match up on when the key defenders will go to Brown & Wood.
I think Ahern & Junker will play a lot next year too.

I will Ahern be fit at the start of the year? He’s coming back from an acl right? But it was off season?

You north lads are eternal optimists which is laudable but that best 22 looks terrible imo. Could be a spoon coming up unless some of the younger players show a lot more than they did last year.

The previous off season - he spent all of 2017 recovering. Is back to full training & will complete a full preseason.
