Yeah agree with Booney.
A lot of the hype is Media TBH, esp. the likes of Rucci who champion the cause of him exploring other options.

Injury was something that is unusual and has probably comeback better than expected when you look at how Polec has comeback

Will play 200 games for the club IMO

Not to mention 3 premierships, two Brownlows and a Norm Smith at the Crows ;)

With what the club and players went through last year I couldn't begrudge them something to ease the pain. It would just be the ******* wanker supporters I'd not be happy for. 8)

I feel he was always going to stay in SA. Hes a country lad and doesnt seemed to be getting dragged around by his balls by missus like a few players heading home seem to be. Honestly it would almost be a non issue if the media fueled by his manager didnt keep it in th e headlines.

As for the length, hes a young lad really, had some injuries but I think thus seems reasonable although on here we seemed tl crucify a club if they sign a long term deal to protect there prospects.

If he stays fit he will be a truly elite midfielder. His output over the past month hasn't been far away from that either.

Very happy the crows signed him

Not all that hard to look elite versus Essendon, then Brisbane, and now Fremantle.

The test will come next month.

I think it's an excellent signing. Has really improved a lot in the last couple of months and with a good run with injuries, should keep getting better. I don't think he'll get to the level of Dangerfield, but I can see him being in the All Australian discussion many times. 4 years is a seriously long deal in footy. Almost like he's sticking his flag in the ground and announcing he doesn't see himself leaving. No doubt things might not look the same in 4 years time, but I just don't see blokes signing for that long if they're already eyeing off the exit.

Mostly though, with Jenkins and Crouch both resisting moves to go either back home or elsewhere for in all likelihood a fair bit more money, I think it shows a big change in the club. Wasn't that long ago we seemed to have these kind of blokes heading off. Whether we're handling them better, they believe a bit more in the direction of the club or they just happen to have a close knit group of players is all a bit unknown to us outside the club.

What remains to be seen now is whether the Crows have much left to go chasing players in the trade period. I'm fairly sure they had quite a bit of space to work with, but 2 blokes have signed big increases now.
