At least he's not taking drugs, or gambling I suppose...

Injured Collingwood star Brayden Sier reportedly played in a local basketball game this week despite being ruled out of AFL action with a calf injury.

Mitch Cleary of AFL.com.au is reporting the Magpies player took part in a Diamond Valley Basketball Association Division 3 match in Greensborough under the fake name “Phil Inn”.

Collingwood said Sier was just shooting hoops with friends during breaks in the game but according to the report, people who were there claim he spent roughly 20 minutes on the floor during the match — a worrying sign if true because of his existing ailment.

“A player even said to him (Sier) what are you doing playing domestic basketball and he just gave him a cheeky smile,” an eyewitness told AFL.com.au.

Sier last played in Collingwood’s loss to the GWS Giants in Round 18 and is expected to be out of action again this weekend and miss his fourth straight match because of a calf problem as the Pies prepare to face Adelaide on Saturday.

We already know that Geelong won't get a home final if they play Richmond or Collingwood.
So by maximising attendance the first round of finals should look like this, if the next few rounds goes as predicted.

Geel v Rich - MCG
Bris v WCE - Optus
GWS v Ade - Adelaide Oval
Coll v Port - MCG

Champ/Pal/Mate/Cobber etc...

Yeah, making them travel and play away from home like that, I'm gutted for them.

Travel is irrelevant. They earned a home final they should be given it regardless who they play...

They will get a home final in the second week of finals, probably versus Port or Crows! Be at MCG though now.

Gil pretty much shot that down the other morning on SEN. Said it would be “unfair” to send one side down there but not another.
He then said all clubs are aware of the contract that says finals in home state not home ground and used Essendon as an example saying that even though Marvel is our home we would play a “home” final at the MCG

Just for interest sakea at the home t but the crows and Carlton lick swap sits as the following:

Carlton: 2018 pick 19(Stocker) and 2019 pick 9.

Adelaide: 2019 pick 3.

Can't see Carlton rolling Geelong in Geelongland so that will probably stay at pick 3 for Adelaide.

However if the power get up over Freo and the dogs roll the crows that will turn in to pick 8 for Carlton.

So to summarise Stan.... we need WB to roll Adelaide at home - likely - and for Hawthorn to roll WCE (unlikely). As a second option, we need Port to beat Freo. Either way our draft pick swap is getting better by the week. Ideally we'll finish up with the Cows at 11th! That will make the Stocker deal a little bit sweeter. :-)

BTW, the way the Bullies are playing they are really looking good for finals. They will trouble a few sides.

Do any of the betting agencies have markets on Dusty for a place? I'm with sportsbet & can't seem to find anywhere to have a flutter on him.

If it's a low scoring count I reckon he can potentially sneak a top 3 finish.

I heard the commentators saying GWS would get a home final (not at SCG) if they finished top 4. That wouldn't surprise me, considering how hypocritical the AFL is.
