I guess I know you’ve felt the last half a dozen years.

You’ve talked us up, the sensible Crows supporters knew this was coming and were realistic

Finals are a step up and maybe a step too far for him now

I thought Tex was solid week 1 in what I thought was a worse performance from the Crows against the Pies. Collingwood didn't scream out to me last week as the team to beat.

Tex last night though was the worst I have seen from him in a long time (not alone btw). I'm not sure they can afford for him to retire either unless they have another fwd they are targeting. I suppose this is why they are chasing Draper.

Concerns for the Crows is obviously the mids, but say Tex retires, Fog has huge question marks on him. Thilthorpe a gun, but who's replacing Tex? ROB been avg 2nd half of the year. I honestly think they have concerns with their stocks on their Key Fwds and have had this for a while, but been fortunate with how good Tex has been the last 2 years.

Thin midfield exposed without Rankine and forced the Crows defenders to have actually defend 1 on 1 which they were exposed in doing so. Murray the best out of the 3 key defenders - everyone will look at Worrall's intercepts which he is elite at, but he is verrrrry average defending 1 on 1.

Hawthorn were very impressive last night, Crows were better than week 1 but faced a superior opposition imo. Next Friday night should hopefully be the game of the year.

They’ve got Burgess and Strachan, so no need to panic :-s

Can you play Berry and Soligo in the same midfield?
Same same and not great ball users

Think we’ll find Fog having surgery early this week. Been playing injured for the last third of the season. Done reasonably well with his injuries

I like Berry but he is not dynamic. Another Crouch.

No forwards coming through is a concern, T Murray and Welsh are a long way off it. Not sure Welsh will get close to AFL. I believe they are chasing GWS Max Guelweski (sp) pretty hard

For what it’s worth, I thought Nicks was pretty realistic in the post match presser, not a task many people would enjoy.

Looking back the wins over Hawthorn and Collingwood several weeks ago were the last shots, those were their finals they played.

Round 21 pulled out all the tricks to beat Hawthorn, fell in over West Coast, would lose 9/10 if Collingwood had 71 I50s and North's midfield had them most of the day.

That month was the worst of the year despite the wins over the two top 8 sides.

While Nicks has been out coached twice I'm not sure what he had up his sleeve. Would have been handy to have an ace or an Izak up there. Very, very costly.

They need to develop Draper and push Curtin to West Coach ;)

I’m probably biased but Dyson Sharp is exactly the type of mid the Crows could do with.. would trading Curtin to WC get you a draft pick (5-10) to secure him?
