Ouch.
The ole Port stat rehashed.
Not as bad as Port v Top 8 teams... now that's a new level of shambles!

Ouch.
Given our position on the ladder it’s not really ground breaking news.

Losing Charlie Curnow from the front half, who I think looks a better player than McKay, is huge. I think it’s their lack of quality mids that brings them down.

the issue is, and they are not alone, not many clubs these days are willing to stick fat through the tough times

some sense! Chopping and changing coaches hasn't worked for us for 20 years, but no doubt we'll sack Teague and 'start again', again!

It doesn't help but I'd be more worried about getting the list in order, Clarkson, Hardwick, anyone, they wouldn't get this list playing in September.

But they need to define what type of team are they going to be. Defence first, like most of the others or be a little bit daring and play the corridor.
Geelong played the same way from 99 until 2011. We almost jumped at shadows at end of 06'.
If we dumped Bomber we wouldn't have had the success we did.

I think we are. Remembering that our greatest losing margin is 28 pts this season. My concern is that we look like we're going to lose every game by 28 pts and play accordingly.

In my limited viewing of Carlton, when the game opens up they look OK.
By playing for honourable losses the team gets complacent.
I'd rather my team lose by 10 goals trying to kick 20. But that's not popular.

I'm the same. I dislike the gameplans of Roos/Lyon etc. So I'm happy we're not conceding 20 goals and getting beaten by 10, but the honorable losses are hard to process because we think we're close/competitive enough but we don't have the killer instinct to win games. Someone on here said we haven't won a game by 10 goals for the longest of all AFL clubs. There is no coincidence in that stat.
I was looking at the ladder and before this week we had about 8th best For and about 13th best Against. So that's nothing to be embarrassed about, nor should we throw the game plan out, its the way we're losing is the concern. I don't think it's unfixable.

Ed doesn’t have the foot skills nor the run to play half back.
Quite frankly he’s another one who just isn’t up to this level unfortunately.
