Didn't answer my question heli.... Also when was the last time the eagles were relevant? And the drugs incidents don't count.

Unfortunately for the Cats tonight it was left to too few.
Havnt seen the stats yet but would imagine probably 5-6 players would of struggled to get a dozen touches.
Ive heard Cats fans all year say how they were worried about their big men and tonight it showed, Blicavs and Vardy got shown up around the ground.
Hawkins was terrible but thats the coaches fault for picking unfit players, Podsiadly was barely sighted and I would of loved to see Caddy start instead of Hunt.
They still jave enough talent to suggest they will be around the mark again next year

Struggling in ruck, no doubt. Need some strength around the ground. Blics and Vards need to be the second stringers IMO. Pods on the way out (cos of age) but overall they're not going "down" any time soon.

10 Geelong players got under a dozen disposals and 4 from Hawthorn had under a dozen, 3 of those had 11 disposals.

Shaun Burgoyne was brilliant. Mitchell was brilliant as well. Should've won by more but geez winning against the cats was great.

I thought they did well all year to basically forego the taps, but increase pressure at stoppages and capitalise on the resulting turnovers. However, it just goes to show that, come finals, having a ruckman put the ball down the throat of his mids when it's most needed is invaluable.

Malceski started it with Franklin, if Franklin got off, Chapman would have too, and Geelong possibly would have won.

Love how Mitchell and Steve Johnson go about their footy. Both have freakishly good skill sets.

Gotta feel for Whitecross. Does his ACL in the qualifying final last year. Gets back to playing good footy and does it again in the prelim

REB I was thinking last night exactly the same as you. The Cats have to to get a ruckman. They did get Macintosh to plug the hole but he hasn't played all year.

All through the finals they have let their opponents get on top for periods of time through the ruck dominance over them.
