They would want someone the crows aren't willing to give up. Crows are one of those teams that don't know how the trade system works.

Kurt Tippett would agree

Tippett for White and a 2nd round? No thanks. We would rather sit out of the draft for 2 years.

Is Williams still in the running for Brisbane or WCE?
If Dusty appreciates what Williams has done for him they could be a package deal

If he ends up staying put he wouldn't be the first player to announce he is leaving only to end up back there the next year if a deal can't be done.

Ryan O'Keefe being one who was on his way to Hawthorn but stayed at Sydney ironically then playing in a flag for Sydney against Hawthorn.

Surely if Martin rejects $500K from Richmond (if true) then it would only because his Manager knows there is another club willing to pay more.

O'Keefe wasn't about money though. Was a family issue.

Apparantly Martin has denied that he has quit the club and has just stated he needs more time to make his decision

Dusty's manager has pumped up his tires and that inflated value isn't getting the trolley moving in the marketplace. The Tigers, pissed off with a high maintenance player who has gotten ahead of himself has called his bluff.

Martin likes to party it up like any young bloke but can he pull his head in in time to develop to his full potential? The jury is out and that's why no one will pay 600 for him, that is overs big time. He has turned is back on the club that have looked after him and kept some of his (alleged) shit out of the papers for money.

Who would want such a person at their club? Not me. At least Judd and Ablett gave good service and at least Scully has a good work ethic. Martin appears to be a loose cannon who has been paid overs already by the club and doesn't appreciate it.

Reality check coming up. Well done Richmond. The club is bigger than the invidual.

regards,

REB

The guy has to have a personal minder 24/7 to make sure he rocks up to training and stays on the straight and narrow
Cant see too many clubs willing to put that much time into a bloke
Definately wouldnt want him around the kids at a club like GWS

Agreed, Jim. Would be a nightmare in amongst the GC or GWS kids who, for the first time in their lives, have disposable income and time to spend it. Well, not the GWS kids 'coz they live in Sydney and it's very expensive to live in Sydney. ;)

Probably doesnt help stop the rumour mill when he's leaving his club, and he's visiting a state with a team that lacks a good midfield.

Even if hes not there to talk to West Coast, I bet as soon as they find out he's there, they'll try to make arrangements with his management to meet up with him at some point.

Its not unreasonable to speculate that he was in WA for a footy related matter.

I doubt Freo would take him, as there greater need is probably a key forward.

The Eagles would definitely be a possibility, although after the Cousins circus I'd think theyd be a little cautious. Straight dwap for Shuey, with minor pick exchange would probably be reasonable.

I could understand that if he said he was in WA talking to eagles or freo people.

but the fact he is just in another state could mean absolutely nothing.

I expect a reporter to make a full blown story how he is heading west now.
